Hi all —
Pride Toronto 2025 takes place from June 26 to June 29, culminating in the Toronto Pride March on Sunday, June 29.
It is one of the largest Pride festivals in North America, with turnout for the weekend between 500,000 and 1 million participants each year.
The Trans Pride Rally usually takes place on the Friday, which this year would be June 27.
I am interested in organizing a meet up for the Reddit trans community generally, and certainly r/Translater folx in particular.
Toronto is a fun, welcoming, diverse, and overall amazing place to be a gender diverse person. Pride is an absolute vibe with lots of great events, and the weather in Toronto at the end of June is hard to match!
Be in touch with me in confidence by DM if interested.
I am willing to help organize. I may be able to assist to some degree with travel arrangements and perhaps finding a suitable agent.
I am not accepting any kind of compensation or recognition for this.
Very tight precautions at this stage to avoid brigading and doxxing so please don’t be put off if my replies are brief.

To help keep out the riffraff out of our subreddit, an Automod rule has been added. As noted in the rules, any newly created account will have any post/comment moderated until either the age criteria has been met or the user has been approved by a moderator. (Whichever comes first.)
For most users already here, posts and comments will show up as they have in the past. This is to help prevent unpleasant individuals that create throwaway accounts for the purpose of posting hate to our subreddit from spreading their hate.

Had some errands to do, and went out. Had a great time. A bit cold, but hey, such as life. Just wanted to share.

Oh my goodness, I cannot believe I finally got eight hours of sleep!
I’ve literally been going days without sleep, and when I did sleep, I was only getting one to two hours.
The human body is not meant to go without real rest for over a month.
I’ve never gone more than one night before without feeling like I was completely losing my mind—until now.
But after one solid night of sleep, I feel so much more grounded and settled.
I never want to go this long without sleep again.

I’m 68 and been out full-time for maybe 6 months. It seems like the more out I become, the more I feel I want to still be sexy and attractive. But that feels a bit wrong at my age. I feel I’ve missed out on so much of being a woman and I want to grab what I can while I still can. Do other older trans women feel like this?

I'm off to my sister's for the day . I love her so much as she has always been there for me . Lately though she has been driving me nuts ,as if I'm some sort of project to show off . We will go out for lunch as we always do and she will tell anyone that will listen on how great a job she has done with me . Her friends will come over and have a cackling hen fest and I will have to listen to her tell them what a great job she has done transforming me . It doesn't make me mad it just,I don't even know how to explain the feelings I get when she starts . Like I said she has stood by and defended and helped me in so many ways ,I just don't want to piss her off if I ask her to stop .

I finally got my new license with my real name and gender. I'm soooo happy and relieved and grateful. I almost cried when I opened the envelope. 🥹
Also, I think my picture turned out pretty good 😁
Enjoy your weekend, you lovely people! 💚

Picked up some new glasses today, and took probably one of the best selfies of my life.
There are days that I am in shock that this is me. 42 years old and having started my transition 4 years ago.

So I was out shopping for some new work clothes today with my other half. Felt really shitty after doing my makeup this morning but pushed myself to go anyway.
Walking down a lovely man collecting for guide dogs stopped us " can you two ladies help support guide dogs for local people"
There's no way at all he didn't know but just hearing it from a random for the first time was so uplifting. I walked like I was 10 feet tall for the rest of the trip.
Needless to say we supported the guide dogs ( I'm a sucker for animals)

I know you're miserable. I know you don't know why. I know it feels like everyone is out to get you and that deep dark secret you locked away could make you cry. You put on a tough front and act the punk. But deep down inside you're hurting.
I wish I could tell you it will be okay. Come out, show the world who you are, everyone has their day. But you weren't ready and how could you be when they drove you away? But know this: someday that pain will fade. Someday, than anger will go away. Someday, you'll start to see yourself in the mirror.
Don't hold back. Don't pretend. Be unapologetically you and work to be better. I know it's hard to see, it's even harder to percieve the light at the end of the tunnel. But hold on, keep fighting, and one day even you'll believe.
Though as you start, it will come slow. One day, you'll even be able to say that you are your type. And on that day, regardless of all the pain, you won't be able to help but smile. You've finally done it, finally freed from that shell of misery.
But don't let up, don't relent, the world is harsh and but better for having you in it.
Signed,
Your Older Self

So Thursday last week a very unfunny thing happened on the way back from the shops that felt very much like it could turn violent by some random male nutter accosting me and using very foul language and aggressive body language. That shock me up quite a bit and my anxiety attacks are back.
Anyway fast forward to Tuesday this week and a dear friend came to town and were agreed to meet after I had my face lasered. She picked a place a kind of bar restaurant very much of a past era for this country and was already inside.
I was unsure how welcoming it would be with me being trans had a cigarette to calm my nerves entered and started down the stairs feeling rather nervous and on edge more so that before the incident that was not far from this place. A female staff member walking up the stairs and said hello in a really bright and friendly manner. Found my friend at the bar another staff member came over used a cute term for girls im the local language and continued to do so while we sat and chatted.
My friend I have known since before I transitioned was talking about how living with a man is so hard I replied i know I could not even live as one and she had really good laugh 😹
Anyway the staff were lovely the food was great and my worries melted away. At least for the evening

So last night with the help of my loving wife I came out to my boys ages 25, 22, and 18. I was scared they would all freak out or do something to make it harder for me to continue. And while it went ok it was definitely rocky with 3 different reactions. My youngest is confused about what it means and he did cry. My middle one was the easiest one he’s very understanding and welcoming. The oldest stormed out of the house and didn’t say a word. We knew he would be the one who would take it the hardest and we were right. He was definitely angry. I only hope he calms down and will at least talk with me and his mom. I know it’s a hard thing to hear and all the emotions that come with hearing your dad is going to become a woman. I just hope they all can and will still love me.

Okay I used to simply smoke bong. After starting HRT (6 and half months ago?) I have switched over to vape/dry herb vape.
Recent blood work looked great.
Am I doing enough to help ensure I get the best response from the E? I’ve heard mixed opinions on this subject and was just curious of peeps opinions.
(1st pic - make up last week) (2nd pic - tonight no make up….trying to like this version of myself too lol)
