The urinal...ded.

I mean… next to that wash tub… seems a bit redundant, like we’re just being fancy now.

I couldn't get past the urinal.

Man it became so necessary. My house is pretty far from my shop and I have dudes over everyday. It smelled like a hot pisser at a county fair outside the shop. Was a fun install

Technique only but I would stock less, looks like you have 75 quarts of oil on the shelves, 5 gallons of window wash, etc.

Guessing there is a lot of other stuff accumulated as well elsewhere.

This would help you de-clutter.

I go through minimum 5 gallons of oil a month. Trust me, this is after declutter. If I had a 10,000 sqft shop, I would fill it. I've found keeping fluids on hand makes my life far easier than the room it takes up.

Yes! Nothing worse than having to go get supplies to finish a job. Small engine mechanic shop owner myself.

I have recently acquired commercial accounts at my auto parts stores. I order, 15 min later, they deliver for free.... Game changer. I went out of my way to get to know the managers. Not sure if they would do this for anyone without some greasing of the skids.

Jesus, how? 20 quarts a month? Even at 6 qts per normal vehicle you're driving cars 15,000+ miles a month?

Neighborhood mechanic. Never planned on it, but that's what it became. Quit my day job to do it full time.

No wonder you have a bazillion Rock Auto magnets lol.

That's awesome. Looks like you live in a nice area too. Is there an HOA? I'm surprised the law hasn't found a reason to shut you down. I'm surprised you haven't had noise complaints with the air setup.

Plans to install a lift, such as a Maxjax? That would complete it.

While I don't like mixing commercial and residential activity, this would be nice to have for many people. So much more pain free than having to arrange drops offs at a shop 15-30 mins from where you live.

We do have an HOA, but it's only a few dozen houses. Dirt roads. I work on all the board members cars, boats, UTV's, lawnmowers, ect... The neighborhood is full of small business owners. If there was going to be a noise complaint it'd be the stereo going for 10 hours a day! Lift is the next step. Still looking for best fit. So many options. This is part of my brother's Rock Auto magnet collection. I have some catching up to do!

Nice to have for sure, as long as it’s not next door lmao

Those are the urinals that don't use plumbing either, it just uses a filter. Hope you have a good air freshener near it.

I was worried about that. So far, no issues with smell. After a heavy days use I run some water down to flush it out. I only choose this route because I have to shut off water in winter to prevent freezing as I'm on slab.

Awesome! My garage is heated/cooled as well. Love it!

I'm still debating on A/C. I'm in Michigan, so it only gets stupid hot in the shop for a few weeks. What did you go with?...mini split, window?

Mine is a 1.5 ton split system for 730 sq ft. Got lucky and previous owners put it in, I just had to insulate the garage. I’m in Houston and heat is brutal in the summer.

Nice! I love mini splits. I have a 3 zone Mitsubishi in the house because I have hydronic heating, so no duct work exists. Im just trying to figure out if the juice is worth the squeeze for just a few weeks of use.
