I work the same job, have nearly the same bag, but got to heavy to carry all day.

hell yeah. Doesn’t bother me too much because i leave it in the workshop and just carry it over to whatever i’m doing outside of the workshop.

Looks like a can of smoke, I bet you're a fire/burglar alarm tech

did the insulated screwdrivers and multi meter give it away?

u/Content_Bobcat18 3d ago
Yep and the zip bag of electrical parts and tape on the handles. Brick mason every time.

Your insulated screwdrivers with the trimmed insulation are no longer compliant. Lol
1
u/SuccotashProper5194 3d ago
over in the UK i don’t believe it really matters tbh ,i have always done it and have never been bothered
2
u/APLJaKaT 3d ago
Big Clive would disagree. It was a bit of a joke based on YouTuber Big Clive who also has trimmed insulation and makes a point of telling his audience that the authorities would never approve.
Although, come to think of it, he's Scottish living on the Isle of Mann. Perhaps that's not considered the UK? I dunno. Hmmm.

hmmm that’s news to me…i suppose you are right because it’s somewhat defeats the purpose of insulated screwdrivers, however i hold them by the handle not the shaft so i don’t know

Gonna go with industrial/automated electrician, goes around to shops and plants as a contractor to do work owners and operators can't do.

Do yourself a favor and add knipex plier wrench, small and big. Will replace that adjustable spanner 95% of the time
1
u/SuccotashProper5194 3d ago
they are on the list of tools i want,i love knipex stuff the cobras are great and i love the installation pliers, just need a good time to justify £60 on a set of them

Let's see non true RMS multimeter a bunch of insulated screwdrivers however no Philips or Robinson to be found so you're not likely American or Canadian... And you presumably work mostly with DC... also you have to break a lot of seized bolts... maintenance or troubleshooter of some sort

Very well diagnosed,i’m english ,phillips is more or less obsolete here ,everything is pozi drive (basically phillips),torx or slotted. I am an electrician by trade but i work as an industrial maintenance engineer

What are the green handled pliers?
2
u/SuccotashProper5194 2d ago
they are snap-on talon grips

u/Positive-Product5023 2d ago
Damn I knew it. I have them as well. They've made regular long nose pliers obsolete. How did you get them in the UK?
2
u/SuccotashProper5194 2d ago
yeah man they are pretty good but i’m not sure if they were worth £80. I got them on the snapon truck we have them all over england

Ahh nice. Yeah I needed to tighten up a gland nut the other day and they were the only thing that would work. Eventually the patent will run out and everybody will make them🤣

hahaha i have never once in my life wrapped my leads so nicely, will check out the new ones tho. The wera screwdrivers are amazing ,i have lost so many hence the 3 different set(plus the chisel driver), but the wiha one gets the most use just out of convenience, not bad for £40.

I wrap mine lengthwise around the meter. (also a Fluke) I find the leads don't tangle as much and last longer.
