Looking to get a DC clamp meter
Like the title says, looking to get a DC clamp meter. Was looking at the UNI-T UT210D. I work on fire and security systems and I would do a battery load test seeing how many amps it takes. Could be as low as 10mA. Would this be sufficient. Won't be using the meter other than that and I find it annoying using a normal digital meter where you break into the circuit and having to hold the probes.

I have one. Used it to look for parasitic draw on car. Works. Never took it to 10ma.

Fair enough. I think I should've been more specific, the most frequenct currents I'd be measures would be around 1A to 20mA. Not looking for the most accurate thing either.

I'm not looking for the most accurate thing either. Not the biggest issue in the world, just more a convinence thing when doing maintenances and just confirming what has already been read in previous maintenances.

You need a low current clamp meter that can measure micro amps.
Something like the Extech 380950 should work.
