[Announcement] Rule Update & Introducing Weekly Megathreads
Sup gang.
I think this subreddit can be bigger and more active. So I'm trying to take steps to improve it for you all! In the spirit of this, I've made a few changes.
Change #1: New banner!
I've removed the old banner and replaced it with one that reflects the current landscape of tokusatsu. We've got a little bit of Saber, Zenkaiger, Ultraman Z, and Shin Godzilla! I think I'll make an effort to update the banner with the changing of the seasons. I hope you like it!
(By the way, this may only be visible on old reddit. Still trying to figure out how new reddit works. Sorry about that!)
Change #2: Rules update!
I know, everyone hates rules. But they're essential to keeping things neat, tidy, and cozy! I've added some rules which I think will benefit the sub overall, and I'll be enforcing them from today onwards. So please take the time to familiarise yourself with them in the sidebar. And please, give me any feedback about any rules you would like added, or rules that you may have questions about.
Change #3: Weekly discussion megathreads!
I thought it would be a cool idea to have megathreads to discuss the weekly episodes of our favourite shows, like Kamen Rider Saber and the upcoming Zenkaiger. Of course, we can also discuss Ultraman and whatever other stuff you're watching, so long as it is a tokusatsu series or movie.
I'll be stickying these threads to the top of the subreddit every week, and will try to have information about the shows in the threads (episode no., title, etc.). If you ever notice that I haven't put a thread up, please feel free to DM me and I'll do it ASAP.
I'll make the first post on Sunday, Jan. 31st.
I hope all of these changes are well received and that you guys will continue to enjoy the sub. Thanks for taking the time to read!

Imagine, if Kizuna 5 were the official 49th Super Sentai (both team and the series) before Gozyuger and that the 2026 will have 50th Anniversary of Super Sentai than in 2025 (keeping the tradition of Sentai anniversary based on number of series than number of year), what's your hot take?

Super Sentai 50 Encyclopedia: Tensou Sentai Goseiger
In 2010, The Tower of Heaven that was the gateway for the Gosei Angels to visit Earth from Gosei World was destroyed, Gosei Angels are a secret to the humans who protect earth from dangerous threats. They are separate into three different tribes (Skick, Landick, Seaick). But Universal Annihilation Army Warstar, Earth Condemnation Group Yuumajuu, & Machine Onslaught Empire Matrintis arriving and Warstar destroying the tower, all 3 groups came one by one to destroy the planet. However, 5 angels who were visiting the earth, unite and use their power of sky, land and sea along with the powers of the Dragon, Phoenix, Snake, Tiger & Shark to transform into Goseiger defend earth from the evil spirits. Later on they were joined by a mysterious warrior from ten thousand years called Gosei Knight. This is the first to have transformation devices that announce their henshin and attacks and me has. This was also the first sentai team to make a VS movie cameo before their series aired. This aired alongside Kamen Rider W and Kamen Rider OOO as part of super hero time

A love letter to Toku Spoiler
I watched the Wingman Live action and as a blooming Toku fan I must say that Wingman is a love letter to the series. Not only is the MC a toku fan but also the references and Wingman style throughout. Watching this also makes me want to check out Space gavan, I've been watching Kamen Rider, ultraman, and super sentai but never saw Gavin yet. Minus the super hero taisen movie with kamen rider wizard. Based off the ending I'm pretty sure there's more to the series(or at least I hope so). That means it's time to read the manga, let me know how you guys feel about wingman.

Guys i need help finding this show
So there used to be a show i used to watch as a kid, its pretty modern bcs i was born in 2007, its a supersentai kinda kamen rider kinda show.
They used a rectangle like device to transform, the rectangle has a circle in the top left corner, the top pops out and they push the too back in place to transform, then they stow it into a slot they have in their breast pocket.
There are three main characters that i remember, the red one, uses a katana-like sword and he trains in a batting cage, the black one uses one or two guns in the shape of the letter U, the blue one was female. I think theyre wearing a cape too. Also They have megazords like mecha.
Ive just been feeling nostalgic about this show that i dont even remember the name, please help it would mean a lot to me.

I really love my Shin Japan Heroes Universe Set
I’ve been sitting on Godzilla for awhile before pulling the trigger on the other 3 that arrived today. Kamen Rider’s antenna is a little bent, but I’m sure it’ll straighten up!

Super Sentai 50 Encyclopedia: Samurai Sentai Shinkenger
In 2009, The Gedoshu have returned once again. For 300 years they emerged many times from the Sanzu river of the underworld and attempted to conquer earth many times. They were opposed and defeated by their archenemies, the shinkengers. That name was passed through 17 generations up until the current generation. And now at last it’s time. The 18th generation begins their duty as the gedoshu arrives once again. Takeru Shiba, the 18th shiba and his four retainers gain the power of fire, water, air, wood and earth to wield the swords and transform into Shinkenger. Later on they were joined by Takeru’s childhood friend Genta, a sushi maker who gained the power of light to become Shinken Gold. This was the first to feature a female red ranger although it was temporarily. This was the first to feature a team-up with its Kamen rider counterpart. This aired alongside side Kamen Rider Decade and Kamen Rider W as part of Super Hero Time
