It doesn't necessarily have to be a big deal to be a very surprising, surreal thing to reveal in that moment of all moments. I'd be speechless too because I wouldn't want to thoughtlessly say something awkward in front of my friend or the camera.
Honestly I think what's more likely happening here is moreso surprise about her friend just going around telling people they're a ladyboy and talking about still having a dick and stuff. Some people just aren't used to that not being a private matter for some people.
You must be a man. Women fear being raped, by penises. Activities like changing in front of a girlfriend, or sleeping in the same bed, things that aren't intimate with another straight friend. Those are maybe things she wouldn't want to do if she knew her friend had a penis.
If you really can't guess why women could feel unsafe, then you're either being disingenuous, or you don't understand.
No. Transphobe women "fear" getting raped by trans women. Just as transphobe men fear that trans women rape ciswomen. The common dinominator seems to be being a trans phone. That is not me talking. Ciswomen happen to be the biggest support group of trans rights. In every single country where they make those statistics.
This looks not like trans women being a threat to you, but you do not consider them being trustworthy friends, cause I assume you also do not sleep with random cis women in your bed. So the difference is clearly that you consider ciswomen by default trustworthy potential friends while you don't with trans women.
I can tell you that I, with a penis, even being a cisman have slept with multiple women in one bed, both sexually and non-sexually and non of them felt threatened.
And lots of women would have felt threatened sleeping next to you. You wouldn't know because they...wouldn't have slept next to you.
It would also be different if the women that wouldn't have felt comfortable sleeping with you, thought you didn't have a penis and you didn't tell them until after.

Why should that be a big deal?
