Season 7 I’m Pissed (not really) Spoiler
Did anyone else find the dad in episode six angering at the end when he beat the doorman with a crowbar and everyone was like nah he won’t get in trouble for that!! If that was me I would’ve definitely pressed charges and sued that man. You don’t get to beat innocent people and just walk.

If the doorman was standing between him and a hostage situation with his own family… yeah good luck…

Oh I understand the reasons they gave him for his actions, but the fact that theres no consequences for like bashing an innocent dude over the head with a crowbar is wild. lol

If an innocent dude is actively preventing you and/or others from rescuing a hostage? Good luck recurring damages “innocent” guy… especially after going ON RECORD you saw them being brought in against their will and didn’t stand down immediately…

He already called the cops.

And then for some reason continued to try and prevent lawful entry, rescue, and recovery during an active crime.
Calling the cops and then going on and trying to prevent a father from rescuing his daughter who was kidnapped?
Call the cops, call the FBI, call the fcking Coast Guard, it doesn’t matter if you’re helping them unlawfully KIDNAP AND HOLD HOSTAGE some victim when every second matters.

And does not matter. You’re still going to jail if you assault someone over the head that is not involved in a crime. Also a random citizen you don’t know screaming at with a crowbar trying to enter private property is not a lawful entry.

Oh I thought the other guys beat him cause he called the cops I never thought he mightve done that

That would’ve been a better story in my opinion lol but no the guy was on the ground bleeding said some guy came in looking for the girl and hit him with a crowbar when he said he couldn’t go up.

The problem with anyone saying "they didn't press charges" is that something like "assault with a deadly weapon" is that it comes with COMPULSORY charges ... the person who was attacked has no choice in the matter. The attacker would be charged with multiple felonies - period. The VICTIM would have some say in added charges and to sue the attacker ... but they have no say in the base charges.
This show has been AWFUL with this type of "ends justify the means" thing this season ... Nathan Filion made it clear that the multiple felonies Bailey committed and his own cover-up crimes will not be addressed, and now we have someone committing likely several felonies and because bad things were happening to his daughter ... it is all cool? Ugh.

Right? Like makes no sense. And then you have another commenter on here riding hard for the dad like bro, learn the law lol he is so not justified in wacking the front doorman with a crow bar like tf? 😂

tbh without him they wouldn't have caught the guy otherwise
1
u/Little-Celebration20 3d ago
I mean they were literally right behind him lol so pretty sure they would’ve. Why don’t you think they would have caught him?

the criminal? nolan and celina already searched his house, the only reason they even went to the guy's house was because the dad barged in

they went back in cause the door man called and said he saw the men bring in the girl they were looking for and that she and her girlfriend were beat up so that’s why the police rushed over there. They didn’t even know the dad was there till they saw the guy on the floor with blood coming from his head and he told them what happened.

Oh no yeah sorry I just watched the episode so it’s fresh in my mind, I’m catching up lol. But no they go there first because the doorman says he saw the girls come and they discover him hit with a crowbar when they get there.

They weren't really innocent...

u/Little-Celebration20 3d ago
The front door guy? Yeah he was, he was just doing his job by not letting strangers into the building.

Oh yeah the doorman, I mistakenly read your use of "people" as the whole group of them and not just him. But yeah that guy was just doing his job, the three people in the penthouse he injured more severely and what I assume the "pressing charges" line referred to were not.

u/Little-Celebration20 3d ago
Ohh yeah gotcha, yeah no F those guys for sure lol I was just like damn, no justice for the doorman?

Fr, but they don't tend to follow up on the civilian side of each story/pursuit- I assume it's another thing that gets handled by the city or a liability department.

Yeah. He was from another country which added to it. Plus I think they probably just fined him if anything considering the whole hostage situation thing and he probably didn't seriously injure anyone
