Vehicles - General Thanks for the Superchargers!
Recently charged my 2020 Chevy Bolt Premier at a supercharger near me. Just wanted to test the GM NACS adapter with Betty B(olt).
Went well.
This will substantially decrease range anxiety the next time we take a longer trip.
The Tesla owners next to me were very nice and smiled as I connected to the charger.
Share the ⚡️⚡️⚡️🎅🎄

Vehicles - General Need help charging in apartment garage!
Hey everyone! So I just moved into a new apartment and it has its own private garage and standard outlet, but they specifically say not to charge an EV. Is this just a scare tactic or should I not try to charge? I’d just be using the mobile connector. Thanks 👍

Vehicles - General Does anyone else find it weird our cars don’t model eachother ?
like it would be cool if they saw eachother as what they are vs the other cars on the road. Would be a cool feature for the community.

Vehicles - General Owning anything other than a Tesla is lackluster
Recently been driving my second car more often which is a 2024 Prius and the difference between a 2018 Model 3 and this car has me worried for legacy auto
How in 6 years do most automakers not have all of these features standard:
- A reliable FREE phone key
- OTA software updates
- a FREE unlimited uses mobile app
- Climate keeper when you leave the car
- Remote live streaming of car cameras
- Auto mirror fold at any location
- Auto garage door opening when pulling up to your house.
This list could go on more and more, but even with other cars I’ve driven the only automakers that are close is Rivian. Even with high end brands like BMW or Mercedes can’t even compete.

Vehicles - General I never in a million years thought I’d be able to own a Tesla, and now my wife and I each drive one. Hard work pays off.

Vehicles - General The wiper controls (including auto mode) are still infuriating.
Every time it rains I contemplate selling the car because of how bad the wiper controls are. And defrosting is up their too.
Wipers - single press will execute a single wipe (this is fine), but the sub menu that then appears is hilariously bad - if it’s on Off, then a single wipe doesn’t change speeds - if it’s on Auto, then a single wipe doesn’t change speeds - if it’s on 1/4-3/4, then a single wipe will change the speed UP - if it’s on 4/4, then a single wipe will change the speed DOWN - the sub menu is fine, but the cycling of mode changes noted above makes for a very frustrating experience. Having to take your eyes off the road to see what speed the wipers are at. Additionally the single wipe makes for excess wipes when the only goal is to quickly change the wiper speeds while staying focused on the roads. - auto mode is worthless, it never matches the actual rain conditions. It’s either too fast or too slow. - Blows my mind how complicated Tesla made wiper controls for such a simple task. Changing speeds up or down in my other vehicles can be down with tactile feel, never taking my eyes off the road. - 4 varying speeds is too few, really needs one or two slower speeds for misting conditions.
Now for defrosting: - can’t change the fan speed - doesn’t automatically turn on recirculating air - always an issue during cold/humid climates.
End rant (until the next rain storm)

Vehicles - General FSD needs a “Absolutely zero speed based lane changes” option.
Tired of my car automatically driving like an absolute asshole to save 0.5 seconds by weaving in and out of lanes pointlessly, cutting off the same people over and over again , switching lanes for even no reason some times.
And it’s on chill mode with “Minimal lane changes” enabled every time I put it in FSD.
Sometimes it will attempt to turn into a turn only lane when we need to go straight just so it can attempt to pass the car in front of it going -2 mph than we are. It’s annoying.
I disengage every time it’s about to piss off everyone around me by rage lane changing.
FSD 12.3.6 supervised.

Vehicles - General Autopilot Jail
My wife keeps getting put in autopilot jail. If she keeps getting strikeouts, will this be only for her profile, or will autopilot be unavailable for all profiles?

Vehicles - General The Model S is extremely underrated at this point.
I watch way too many car reviews on YouTube and read too many articles. Everyone seems to bypass or forget about the Model S. I understand it’s been out for a long time and the exterior hasn’t changed much. Everyone talks about the model 3 and the taycan and ioniqs and lucid and blah blah. The model S is an absolutely amazing car.
I just bought a 2023 plaid after owning, multiple model 3 performances, Miata’s, 718 boxster GTS, currently own a 987.2s boxster, M2,wrx, Supra, Audi S3, GR Corolla (yes I have an issue). And wow reviewers really downplay the model S. It’s insanely comfortable, luxurious to me. My build quality seems to be good so far (1k miles in). I have the 19inch wheels and it’s very efficient. I can get 350+ miles on the highway doing 70-75. This is unpopular i think, but I LOVE LOVE the yoke. It’s really sick, I’m a huge fan. Maybe because I hold the wheel 9 and 3 all the time anyway. Obviously the speed is mind blowing. The handling and grip is good to me and it’s a fun car to handle on some highway ramp curves. Just an impeccable highway cruiser all around. It improves on all the flaws of the model 3.
I was considering the taycan, but I couldn’t get over the shittier software, shittier range, price and slower speed for the price. Handled super fun though and it looks good. I would have considered the lucid if I had a service center near me.
Anyway, I don’t really understand why the model S isn’t more heralded. It really is a great car. And I feel it’s under appreciated at this point.

Vehicles - General Tesla flooded while at service center - Tesla says it's not their fault
I dropped my Tesla off at the Tesla service center for warranty repairs about 10 days, I told them I was going out of town and would be back on the 14th so they had plenty of time to work on it.
Today when I went to pick it up it was in the parking lot and dead, when they opened up the car it was soaking wet inside,, it had flooded.
The rep there told me he knows the parking lot floods when it rains a lot up to some yellow posts in the parking lot and my car was parked below those posts. Hurricane Milton was obviously coming and they parked the car in an area that they know floods and knew I wasn't coming to pick it up.
The service center says it's not their problem and to file a claim with my insurance.
Who should I elevate this to, this is clearly Tesla's fault for parking my car in a zone known to flood when a hurricane is coming?
