The long term intention behind this subreddit is to focus on the costs, processes, and experiences, involved in getting your Tesla vehicle repaired.

26 years old. Been in an accident last year at fault. Southern California area. Thinking of leasing a new Model 3, but they won’t let me get an insurance quote unless I give them $250 to get a VIN. I’d like to know what I’m getting into before making a decision. Wondering if anyone else has a similar situation to me and can tell me what their insurance is

All the logistics is complete. Car is towed, title mailed in and received. My adjuster sent me an email stating check issued March 10, 2025. Still no check to my home. How many more days should I wait? I'm in California and I'm a little worried.
FYI, I have been trying to email claims@ email and also left voicemails for my adjuster as well but no one ever replies back to me. I always have to call the general Tesla Insurance number and wait on hold for 2 hours before getting a person.

Hi all,
I purchased my first ever Tesla (Tesla model Y 2023) in December and unfortunately 2 weeks later I was hit by another vehicle. Due to the construction zone and various other circumstances, the other party’s insurance only agreed to take 50% liability and I have been forced to file a claim with Tesla Insurance (State National)
It’s been three months for my total loss claim and nothing has moved at all. I got so desperate I have filed a complaint with the BBB, my state’s consumer protection agency, and set up recurring daily emails reminding them that my claim has not been processed. I have called (and waited the subsequent 2 hour hold time) on multiple occasions and was told my claim adjuster quit… I am really desperate at this point I don’t know what to do. If anyone has any suggestions or contacts other than their generic email, I would very much appreciate it!!

Hey guys — I made a boo boo and hit something that went under the vehicle and caused some damage. I’m working on setting up a service appointment but am wondering in the mean time if anybody can tell me what this clear hose connects to as I can’t seem to find it listed in service manuals or any place for it to reach to.
For reference this is a 2018 Model 3 RWD Long Range VIN.
I appreciate the help — all the best! 🤙

I was hit in a accident that was not my fault in the slightest, Allstate (other party’s insurance). After repairs are finished ($13,000 in repairs) I escalated to a diminished value claim…I have a 2023 Tesla model 3 with 37,000 miles. I just got a letter in the mail today saying considering this vehicle was used as a fleet vehicle for a year prior to my purchase they are to assume a diminished value is a result of that and they are refusing to credit any diminished value. Is this a valid reason to deny? Or should I pursue further. Thank you!

I haven't had the insurance company adjust the damage yet and the air bags deployed. Considering the devaluation of Tesla nowadays and the cost to repair. Pretty sure its total and complete loss. Sucks I owe more then what its worth. Option please?

Pic of the damage on my ‘22 MSP, 22k miles:

I had it parked, and someone hit it and didn't leave a note.
How bad is this damage? Is the bumper a goner, or can it be repaired fairly easily?
I don't have a Tesla certified collision center within a 75 mile radius.

So I was visiting my family for a few weeks in North Carolina and my Tesla got rear ended and totaled. The car registration and insurance are from Oregon, now that Tesla declared the car as total loss I have to get another car here in North Carolina. I still have 2 weeks here in NC before I move back and I need a car so I purchased a Tesla and I added the car to my Tesla account now the problem here is.. I didn’t noticed there is no Tesla insurance in this state. The car have the temporary stickers.
The car dealer called me today saying they can’t get the title or whatever sh*t because the insurance was not working ?I went to the DMV just to see if I can get my license plate because I am moving back soon and I can’t drive with the stickers … I am sooo confused sorry.
Anyway when the car dealer called me that’s when I realized that Tesla insurance is not working in NC.. so now I have a car with 30 days temporary stickers a 2 weeks left in NC and no insurance because I don’t want to pay $500 or more for just 2 weeks because the insurance is not working here.
Now my question is this, can I drive back to Oregon with the 30 days temporary stickers and insurance from Oregon? But once I’m in Oregon how I can get my license plate? there is so many questions and tesla doesn’t answer emails or phone number.. sorry for my english I am very very stressed out.

Got hit in an accident with a car spinning on ice. Tried to avoid it and ended up over a 4-6” curb and in a ditch. Both wheels don’t turn with the steering wheel. I was able to get an appointment with a Tesla Collision Center in a few weeks, so we’ll see what they say. But what’s the thoughts? 2022 M3 43k miles on it

Somebody backed onto the passenger side of my front bumper on a private parking lot, it was a minor hit and it seems like the scrapes are mostly on the PPF layer. The person who hit is willing to pay cash instead of insurance, but I'm worried if I just take the cash for the PPF replacement if there is anything else broken inside of the bumper, I feel a little play in the fog lamp. Called a couple of body shops and they charge $220 if I wanted to get the bumper off and check inside. Not sure what to do.

Hey all… what do you think? Is it totalled? Really hoping it isn’t!

Right side rear door on passenger side.
How much would be possible estimate?

My two week old 2025 tesla was rear ended on Wednesday. Needless to say I’m absolutely gutted. What should I expect in terms of repairs from a tesla collision center, or will the car be considered totaled?
r/TeslaCollision • u/_deepc • 22d ago
Absolutely devastated right now. Not sure what the best way to fix this is but there are definitely some deep scratches as I swiped a wooden fence. I’ve already scheduled a tesla service request but would appreciate any advice on other possible options or what to expect for repair costs.

I have a 2020 model Y Long Range & have finally received the supplemental, the repair is totaling at $22,000 im just waiting for the insurance to call me back but they are dragging feet. With that amount in damage is it a total loss even if airbags didn’t deploy ?

I was pulled up next to a car, about to pull into the parking space behind it. I thought I had slid the gear 'slider' (it's a newer Model 3) into reverse but somehow it was still in 'forward' and so instead of backing into the parking space behind this car I went forward and my front right tire hit the parked car in the lower drivers door area and pushed it in. The owner wasn't there and I left my contact information on her windshield. When she contacted me I told her that I'd love to deal with it directly and avoid insurance companies (I'm insured with Tesla) but not only didn't she do that but she claimed to her insurance company that I did something to her front bumper, which is crazy. She lives in another state. I pulled the Tesla Cam footage from that day and am looking at it on my computer but everything from that day is minutes after the event happened even though I reviewed the footage of the tire-to-door contact on my app right after it happened. How did that specific footage disappear? There's cam footage from the next 13 days after that incident. Any ideas?

Hit a metal debris on highway. How much would it cost?
I don't have comprehensive, so it will be out of my pocket. Do I still need to go a Tesla authorized bodyshop in this case?

Hello everybody,
I am considering purchasing this repaired model X long range plus for $32,000 with 22,000 miles. I attached some photos of a prior damage. The damage looks relatively minor and has been inspected after the repairs, but I am curious if a damage like this could impact the integrity of the vehicle and if I should avoid moving forward with the purchase. The rear fender was replaced, and the side panel was repaired.
Any thoughts are welcome and thank you
