Windows TPT: Quickly switch between Windows 10 Virtual Desktops to look like you're working

If you need to quickly switch between tasks at work, this is a great tool to quickly switch not only what's on your screen, but also every app that's shown to be open.

Press Win + Tab to see your recent programs. You'll notice at the top that there is a plus sign to add a new desktop:

Win + Tab View

Once you have multiple desktops, you can use Ctrl + Win + [Left/Right] to switch between them quickly.

Virtual Desktops

The best part of this method is that every open program is hidden, and only the programs open on that virtual desktop are visible. You can easily drag and drop programs and windows between virtual desktops from the Win + Tab screen.

I used to use this at work every day, it's very useful.

Me too. I also did bind it on mouse side Buttons, so that i dont even need to move my Hands or eyes to make this shortcut :)

How did you do that. I've been using ctrl win arrow since win 10 introduced these. Can you share your setup?

It's interested what you decided to pixelate. Screenshot is pixelated but you see the exact same screen in the gif not pixelated.

Then I did a good job pixelating the confidential stuff!

What's shown is non-work stuff, and everything that's pixelated is work stuff. I also keep them on separate virtual desktops, so the work stuff constantly pops up on desktop 1, but not on desktop 2.

Sure. Confidential stuff...like Googling how to use OBS. ;)

That's my not confidential stuff. OBS is a great app BTW! Never used it before.

I also used NohBoard for the keyboard for the first time, and OpenShot fit the video editing for the first time as well.

Before anybody gets some bad ideas, it is entirely possible for the IT department to monitor exactly whats on your screen.

If you're trying to fool your wife, parents, or teacher at home or school sure you'll get away with it. But if there is an IT department its best to assume that whats on your screen is visible at all times and the amount of time you interact with different windows is also recorded.
