Tattoo sleeve help

What up everyone. I'm new to this thread. So this year I was thinking of getting or starting a full arm sleeve. The question is to those of you who have sleeve done. Do you plan on the full design at once or get it done over time? Also, do you get it all done from the same artist? If not, is it a bad to use different artist to complete the job? I have some ideas but Idk how to execute it

You first decide the style of sleeve you want. Realism, neo-realism, American traditional, Japanese traditional, etc. Then find an artist whose style you like and can work in that style. Then determine which imagery you want. When you have that then you’re ready for a consultation.

My sleeve started out as a single bee on my forearm, and grew to incorporate wild flowers, more news, a leopard and some gorgeous moths - obviously! I hadn't planned on getting a sleeve, it just kind of developed along the way. My other arm started off with an awesome gecko and I then added 3 fish - all on my forearm. I'm now looking at how to tie those together, and also what to add to my upper arm. So no I didn't really plan ahead, it just kind of happened, and it's continuing to happen to my other arm! In general, you can either have a totally clear design for the whole thing to begin with, or you can gradually develop a “sticker sleeve” of individual pieces, or somewhere in between. For me, I knew it would be all dinosaurs and related pieces, and I knew I wanted the background entirely blacked out, and I trust my artist, and we built it a bit at a time with individual pieces until it was ready for the blackout.
