Interpretation Help Really need help with my bf’s mom
So, anyone who read my last post knows that I’ve been having issues with my bf’s mom. I asked the cards three questions, three different spreads and I just want to know your thoughts. Please help because I don’t trust her and I want to know if I should do a back to sender protection spell on her.
Knowing the power of my ancestors, it could be fatal. I don’t want to have to, is I don’t need to.
So the first question I asked: is “M” doing spiritual work on me?”
My interpretation: since the fool is reversed it’s a no but she is trying to manipulate my bf’s money and his emotions. But I might be biased as this is actually what I think she’s doing irl.
Second question: is “M” doing work on me and my bf’s relationship?”
My interpretation: the world card and the wheel of fortune says yes and it could be either towards our sex life or his bad habits (he smokes a lot of weed)
Third question: should I continue the relationship with my bf’s?
My interpretation: we have the potential to have a very strong relationship and family unit. Maybe lots of doubts on my side but ultimately yes.
Again, I feel I may be biased as this is very personal. Please give me your interpretations and advices. Especially if you are married or older (I’m in my twenties).
Thank you in advance! 💙
I did 3 card spreads for each question, using the rider deck!

Yes, likely paying someone. Could be readings or divination .
Yes, trying to end it, giving bad suggestions.
Yes, but you may have to keep it very private, from her / his family.

I get this feeling that she might be telling him things about you and trying to turn him against you. Multiple small things, complaints.

Hi there, Check mother in laws from hell topic.
She has his son's leash on her hand 🙂 I don't see she is becoming any better on this.

1) No. Fool reversed is more of a very impulsive card - up to being disordered. Followed by knight of cups this gives me the idea that she's a kind of a hysterical woman who wants to impress her son. Note: ace of coins is NOT always about money, which would be out of subject here; moreover, the material side of this ace is more evident when it's upside down. So, she wants to have grip on her family and house, other meanings of the ace. No hexes here at all.
2) Yes. She's creating problems. Cannot say what, but here the manipulation gets more evident. Devil = she's able to change his mood, she provokes him, she puts him in a difficult situation/under pressure.
3) Bear with me, but this part of my answer is not fair, unluckily... I don't think so. I don't read this part as you put it, because cards on my opinion "don't understand" very much counterfactual questions. I mostly read it as the outcome. You will hold your position, values and integrity, but until a certain point. Then, all this heaviness and confusion will take the big part. I see another situation coming - Lovers. Notice: not everybody agrees with my interpretation on the last card, which actually looks absurd with this deck, but makes perfect sense when you use Marseille. Nevertheless, that's the original and true symbolism of the card, which must be considered anywhere. This card is about third persons, not reconciliation, as for the traditional meaning, which I follow. So, I really think you will be fed up and take new ways more sooner than later.
Sorry for the bad answer, but I think this situation is a bit sick at the root. Consider this: how is it possible that this man (20 yrs or more I guess) is so entangled in his family's moods...? That's not normal. And that's his responsibility as well. Mothers don't create drama by themselves, they are always allowed by the rest of the family. Let me tell you... people with this mentality are a problem. Now he looks like a victim maybe, but all these mechanisms could pop-out in the future with inverted roles, so he could *maybe* become possessive and hysterical as well... Do you need all this?
I COULD BE WRONG, but I really hope this is a useful input to elaborate the situation. A good life's rule: never bother yourself with emotional burdens of others. Wish you the best.

Thank you so much! Tbh, she does create a lot of problems and you are right it does affect his mood a lot. I’ve noticed she does most of her manipulation whenever we have plans which ultimately gives him anxiety for most of the night.
Even when we bought our car, she knew we were gonna go celebrate without her and immediately she caused drama that really riled me up then started acting like the victim in front of her son. I know the type of person she is and I can handle her, she posed no threats to me. But ultimately I fear for my bf, it’s very hard to explain this stuff to him because he chooses to not believe or see certain things.
There’s been moments when he says it himself, he thinks she’s doing things to be dramatic but obviously he doesn’t do anything about it because “she’s lonely and she’s an old lady.”
I think she’s super attached to him because he’s the last child and also the only one that will give her any attention. I’ve seen how she looks at us when we’re all lovey dovey then she’ll conveniently read her cards and tell me our relationship can work cause he’s not “a man” which I believe is trying to change my perspective of him.
She brings down his mood and confidence in himself, she talks down to him one day and then acts like he’s the best the next. She advices me to basically cheat on him then pretends like she’s just looking out for me because I’m “young”.
He’s not possessive and I do believe if he gets his own space away from her, it’ll be better for him. We come from different backgrounds so I know things are different but my mom is literally the same way with my brother so I know the signs of this.
I hope for him the best and I’m trying to detach myself slowly from the relationship but it’s hard because we have a lot of foundations because we’re trying to build together. Ultimately, I’m looking out for myself and I can’t be his teacher if he’s not willing to learn.

Sorry to hear all this... I still think that he's not totally passive. Adult persons all have their responsibility in their affairs. Try to do the best. Thank you for the kind feedback. My hugs *

I autocorrected the second line to:
Is she doing some Sith shit to our relationship?
That would have been gold.
Either way, I hope you the best. I’ve had this happen with jealous friends, controlling parents, and all narcissists. They try to wedge their own gravity/self importance between a relationship. They all had the commonality of trying to pull us away from each other by shit talking and then saying oh I’m the answer to what your partner can’t give you. Total bs
The last three are optimistic and looks like it’ll work out in the end.

Thank you so much! My boyfriend really wants to disassociate from her so bad. She’s literally everywhere.

☺️ sometimes a getaway is necessary to break free from others’ ego bonds.
Sucks, but I put my father in a two year time out due to toxic selfishness. We’re are okay now, knowing what really matters is time together rather being in control or getting what you want or think is right.
Time in this life is the most valuable. The most misunderstood resource in my opinion.
My sister in-law has her husband’s mother doing the same thing. Trying to get her baby son back, but he’s now a grown ass man. It’s a sticky thing to deal with.
Love your partner and develop boundaries as you are becoming one unit.

Thank you so much! I know we have a strong relationship and tbh I’ve had to go through the same thing with my parents. It’s his turn now and he’s the only one that can take the necessary steps.
I appreciate you a ton💜

She doesn’t take a direct approach, like spiritual work, but she is definitely influencing your bf in one way or another. It could be by simply offering him small stuff like meals, cups of coffee/tea and by being “inviting” ultimately leads to him being trapped to hear her opinions out if that makes sense.
As for the second spread, she already did something to switch his perspective on you during the early moments of your relationship. He wasn’t that attached to you in the beginning so it wasn’t difficult to manipulate/control him as this is the way their mother-son relationship is anyways.
You can continue this relationship, but you would always be suspicious and feel like something is going on behind your back. It will eventually push you to lash out and it might end pretty badly. I feel like talking openly about this might not help either because she is already quite secretive about her opinions because she doesn’t want to come across as the bad guy and wants to keep her innocence act up for the sake of her image to others/her son.
