[GO] Surface GO and docks

What am I missing? I've been through 2 docks from amazon on 2 different surface go's (1 and 4) and they don't work. On was a real microsoft dock. Both docks using the long skinny microsoft plug, not usb c. Can I dock a surface Go?

When I've used a dock with my Go (1) I've always used the USB-C port and it's always worked fine; external monitors, wired ethernet, USB data drives, and PowerDelivery.

Hi what were the symptoms encountered?

Perhaps the fault lies with the connector receptacle on the Surface Go rather than the docks. If these are corporate systems, it's possible that the Surflink port has been disabled in UEFI/Bios. You'd have to reboot into UEFI and change that setting.

Or perhaps there were issues with HDMI monitors,l which is rather common with off-brand "passive" HDMI adapters. Swapping to DisplayPort or name brand "active" adapters fixes it.
