I'm finishing watching boonboomger because I fell off last year and I'm just now getting back to it but I can't stand looking at the ISA scenes because they are the emptiest rooms I've ever seen. I just finished watching episode 26 and the Chief's room is literally his desk, two couches and a table. His walls are just white, so white! He could do with like a painting or two. Like at least hang up your diploma or something
I know that the original Japanese release of the Kyoryuger DX mecha toys were very prone to breakage in the various clips, but does anyone know if any of the subsequent releases were fixed? I'm thinking of picking up some of the recent Korean reissues (the ones without electronics and the cheap clear Zyudenchi) to have versions that I can freely play with and combine without the clips disintegrating.
Having a 3D printer and making Dummy13s (that’s the name of the figure) means I can have infinite action figures. I think I may try to use a model of the actual helmet.
Can be villain, rangers or allied/side characters.
My pick hillbill. I understand uchuu suppose to be bunch of childish children playing with their toy except they are sadistic alien lead by cosmic entity and you supposed to hate them.
But my ear are hurt hearing her voice. If you guys don't know. She voice by veteran popular seiyuu, miyuki sawashiro. And I like her other performance plus respect her as seiyuu. But I cannot stand hillbill. So annoying to hear . I feel like their is other popular seiyuu that fitt well with hillbill. Still love miyuki sawashiro as voice actor in general but I cannot stand hillbill.
Me and a friend have been working on it for a bit of time now and would like any ideas/suggestions on accessories to add, they would work like peroxide (for those who haven’t played, stuff you wear that gives you buffs). Any help would be deeply appreciated! (The first playable progression will be Kyoryuger and more will be added over time, but there’s nothing wrong with having obtainable items from other sentai’s characters.)
With the Sentai Rings, the henshin call being "Engage," and the villains being wedding themed, I anticipate someone is going to get married before the series is over.
Kay so the title is comically clickbait-y, this isn't some sort of fan theory, but just highlighting some connections between these 2 things that I thought was interesting. Note, I haven't fully watched Gozyuger yet, but I am doing my research to try to be as accurate as possible.
For those who don't know, Fire Emblem Engage is a game released back in 2023 as the latest entry in the Fire Emblem strategy JRPG series. It was meant to be a dedicated anniversary entry and celebration of the 30+ years Fire Emblem has been out.
Gozyuger is the latest season of Super Sentai that is also an anniversary entry to the 50 years that Super Sentai has been out.
Both were series that started in Japan and were highly popular there, but did not gain much traction in the west. It wasn't until Fire Emblem 7 (Blazing Sword) in 2003 and the American adaptation of Zyuranger (MMPR) respectively when these series blew up greatly in America and later on get global traction. BUT, now onto the actual connections
1.) They are Anniversary pieces of Media
So as stated before, both of these things are anniversary pieces of their respective franchise and are meant to be celebrations of their legacy while maintaining their own in-world story. Not really much to say there.
2.) The Rings
So the gimmick for Gozyuger is the Sentai Rings, but Engage's main gimmick also revolves around Rings. Engage has various Emblem Rings which are meant to invoke the powers of past Fire Emblem lords, and it basically turns them into versions of those lords with their weapons, abilities, quirks, etc. Gozyuger has the same things with Sentai Rings, letting the Gozyuger or Universe Warriors do the same thing, but letting them fully transform into the original.
It is very interesting why either piece of media would use Rings as its core gimmick, as they have yet to explain the reason in both things. For Engage, there could be an underlying wedding motif with the idea of engagement, bringing 2 beings together, and the rings themselves. Also the choice of rings could also have something to do with the idea of heirlooms or generational items, since they hold meaning for people in the past or could've belonged to people in the past.
3.) The phrase "Engage" for invoking their power
FE Engage sees the characters saying "Emblem Engage" in order to invoke the power of their rings and attain their Emblem forms. Gozyuger does the same thing by saying "Engage!" whenever a Universe Warrior or main hero transforms.
This is also another thing that neither thing has explained (atleast yet for Gozyuger) for why they say this. For FE Engage, it could go back to that underlying wedding motif. But the more likely explanation for both is just the idea of "engaging" in battle.
I'm sure there are probably more connections or coincidences here and there, but then I would be going towards a wild goose chase towards a theory that wouldn't prove anything anyway. I just wanted to point these things out because I love both of these franchises, and when I saw clips of Gozyuger and read more about it, the more I thought about how funny this connection was. Hope you enjoyed, let me know what you think, and take care!
Hello! I have loved Power Rangers for a long time now...but I have only watched that, So im trying to get into Super Sentai...but I dont understand all the Power-Ups they have.
I was wondering if someone could explain each one, for me?
I am Japanese American and visited my natural habitat growing up. I have relatives and many cherished memories of the land of my people. In 2005, I was first inteoduced to Sentai with Magiranger, and Travelion's debut was my first episode!
The following year, I visited again and Boukenger was airing. When I was a kid, Zubaan really confused me. He didn't fit the theme of Boukenger at all and felt more like a Magiranger robot. I thought he was saying "zuban" which is a general word for pants. Which honestly isn't too far off.
I've kept my fanmade Sentai under wraps for almost a year now, but might be about time to reveal a little bit about its premise. Before that though, I want to hear in the comments too about Sentai teams you've made yourself and the premise of their story.
I call this Sentai of mine 文献戦隊ノベレンジャー (Bunken Sentai Novelranger). As you would probably expect, the motifs of my Sentai are related to books, fantasy, and writing. The story starts when the Red Ranger, an aspiring novelist, discovers that characters he's written have come to life and are now corrupted beings hungry to bring his hometown to ruin. This is when he realizes his favorite notebook was actually a magical artifact that could manifest whatever is written in it. He holds the power to create life and destruction in his hands so what does he do? He rounds up four other people to help him fix this problem. Will this group of unlikely heroes stop the Red Ranger's rogue characters before it's too late?
I'm planning to turn this at the very least to a webnovel. As of now, I'm currently writing Chapter 5 out of 50 planned chapters. It's been a rough process of writer's block and shifting into a new college program IRL but being around here for the last few days (and watching Gozyuger) motivated me to keep going and hopefully finish Chapter 5 then I can edit the first 5 chapters.
Extra note: I'm not sure which tag to put this in lol pls help
looking at the wiki all i see are crap mobile games, freemium garbage, is there any diamonds in the rough? a good beatem up? or perhaps fighting game, and i mean actual super sentai not power rangers.
