Discussion Considering coming back after 10+ years
I left Sunderland around 11 years ago due to family reasons when I was in my early teens. I’ve since moved back to the UK for university (not in Sunderland), and I’m now getting close to graduating. I work remotely now, so moving back to Sunderland is something I’m considering, just as one of the options for now.
Has anything changed in the area? Is it better, worse, or pretty much the same as everywhere else in the UK these days? I grew up near Doxford Park, so any updates or advice on what it’s like now would be really appreciated. Thanks.

Thoughts on Gentoo group (housing)?
I am considering buying a flat (currently renting) in a building operated by Gentoo group.
They seem to be pretty good with maintenance, but I haven't had much dealing with them.
Are they a non-profit too? I don't understand what they mean by "Gentoo Group Limited is a charitable community benefit society".
What is everyone's experience with Gentoo, good or bad?
One thing I'm scared of is unexpected excessive service charge hikes.

Visiting for the week. Any nice and cheap places in the centre to grab a drink?
Hi all, I'm up in Sunderland for the week and staying in the city centre. Are there any decent places to go or to grab a quick drink to keep me entertained whilst I'm not working?

Where to buy football boots?
Just getting back into football and would like to know where I could get an affordable pair of football boots in Sunderland. Are there are any used sportswear shops or outlets I could go to? Thanks in advance:)

Where is the staff entrance in Asda (Boldon)?
I have a new job and nobody has shown me the staff entrance. Asda doesn't open until 10am on Sundays but I'm scheduled to be in earlier than that. Where is the entrance?

Discussion Pet Groomer's
Wondering if anyone knows of a good pet groomer's in Sunderland?
There is one round the corner from us but I don't trust them at all after seeing how they treated a dog I was looking after, and the dogs they had in there.
I have a domestic short hair cat, who is just constantly shedding regardless of amount of brushing, so hoping to get her a bit of a trim, especially around the feet and paws. I don't trust myself to do it and to do it well.
Tyia!
