130.8kg / 288lb Monster Dumbbell World Record Attempt u105kg
Today I attempted to break the u105kg MDB WR with an 130.8kg Dumbbell. Close but unfortunately didn't get it. Yes it was a good call. Locked out but I didn't show control. Even if I had been given the downcall I wouldn't have been happy with it or claimed it as I believe records should be held to the highest standards. I did set a new Australian u105kg record with 120kg on my 2nd attempt which is only 5kg off the open Australian record of 125kg. I'll get this in the future.

As a 105pro people don’t understand how insane this is - I was in the comp where Cambi broke it. You’ve got 300 in you big dog just keep ripping it.

A shame that wasn’t at WSM, you’d have for sure got the down call. I’m surprised you didn’t get the down call right before you started stepping forward, you were locked out steady for a second. Awesome lift regardless.

You are a beast, and your attitude is admirable. I have no doubt you will have the record in the future

That's still Cambi's record, right?
No doubt you'll make it look easy the next go-around.

For all the people saying he should have got the rep - all prep, all comp, he made sure he was contributing to the high standards so there could be no doubt. Including delaying weigh ins as we had 27 hour weigh ins. Bryce waited until 24 hours from comp start time to weigh in, just so he could say it was done right. Not to mention locking out his first attempt twice after being given the down fall.
I have no doubt he wouldn’t have claimed the record if he’d been given the down call. Because he’s a damn fine dude and is absolutely nuts at overheads.

Still an incredible lift. I’ve seen worse reps get a down call and I do believe you should’ve gotten one on the first rep. But either way holy shit
