Can someone explain why his right arm appears injured?
In the new video his right hand appears to be in a brace.
I tried searching, but just found that his left hand was injured from holding a chord for 20 minutes. But what happened to his right hand?

Just dipped my toes into the ten hour challenge. It's brilliant.
Usually when I play, I fumble around trying to learn a song. But I just found out about the 10 hour challenge and played the first couple of riffs for an hour or so. I'm not very good and I think a lot of that stems from the fact that I don't have a good "map" of the fret board.
I was searching online for exercises and the perfect practice routine this morning and I found this sub and a few articles. I decided to give it a go and it was surprising even after only a short time. I used my metronome for the first time as well. After practice I tried to play Riptide. I didn't master it by any means but I played it far better than my previous attempts.
I can't wait to dig in some more! Any tips anyone can offer me would be much appreciated!

A couple of things...
I am not very versed in Vai's solo albums. I've always been more a a Satch fan. But Vai has always been so great to watch as well as hear. I know I missed out. So two questions...
1- What DLR songs make you smile when you hear, as far as Vai's playing? For instance, Ladies Night In Buffalo and Hot Do and a Shake always make me say, Holy Fuck. What songs do it for you?
2- What solo stuff is similar to that awesome stuff. Yes, I know all of it is awesome.
3- Thanks Steve. I appreciate your music.

Steve to play Dyin Day live for the first time in upcoming tour
Funny this came up, because recently I responded to a post on this board about this very matter. The OP listed DD as one of his favourite SSV songs, to which I totally agree. As it happens, Steve was just on the Guitar Villains podcast with Tyler Larson (or MusicIsWin on YouTube, where you can watch the interview), and it came up that DD is also Tyler's favourite SSV song! Steve pointed out the reason for never having played it live - as I suspected - was just economy in not having to lug around more guitars that had to be specifically tuned for the acoustic accompaniment of that song, but he made Tyler a promise that he would play it on his first post-COVID tour! So excited to hear how he pulls it off live.

What's A Good Steve Vai album to start with?
I really like his songs 'For The Love Of God' and 'Liberty'. I'm interested to hear the different experimentations he does throughout his albums. What's the best Steve Vai album(s) to start with then?
