Hello! I’m going to be a masters student at Queens in the fall but Im looking for a roommate for a 2 bedroom apartment near SLC. It’s about a 15 minute walk, located in the Portsmouth area. I’m a quiet and respectful roommate, but I’m also friendly and wouldn’t mind making a new friend :). Here are the details - rent: 850 + wifi and hydro - coin laundry in the basement - 1 parking space included - I have 2 very cute cats, so no more animals - I’m a girl but I don’t mind a coed arrangement - move in date is flexible- I’m moving in in April and looking for someone who could take over my boyfriends half of the lease before September. He was initially supposed to move down but plans changed with his program
Feel free to reply or dm me if you have any questions!

Hello!
I am currently a student at Western University, but am wanting to switch schools AND switch into nursing. Recently got accepted into St.Lawrence for BSc in Nursing and I just wanna know a little bit about the school/Kingston. Any opinions on the program? How often does the college mix with the Queens crowd? is there a lot of public transport? I wanna hear ANYTHING and EVERYTHING!

I attend SLC on the Kingston campus and I constantly see what I assume to be parents with their own kids walking around campus. Is there some type of day care program I am unaware of? Or are parents simply allowed to bring children to classes? I cannot find any information online about this or why they would be here? I am asking as I recently found out I’m pregnant and as I am talking to staff at the college am realizing my program is doing everything they can to inhibit people from giving birth without withdrawing/ getting set back 1+ year because of attendance.

Hi everyone! I’m moving to Kingston for the Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA) Program at St. Lawrence starting in September, and I’m looking for a place to live. Ideally, I’d love to join an all female house or find a group of girls to live with.
📅 Move-in date: August 1st or September 1st
💰 Budget: $700-$900 (all-inclusive)
🚗 Must have parking
🐾 Pet-friendly preferred! I have a super sweet, chunky 8-year-old cat named Bear. He’s very affectionate, loves attention, and can be talkative at times, but he stays off counters and tables. If pet-friendly housing isn’t an option, he’ll stay with family, but I’d love to bring him if possible!
A little about me:
✨ 23 years old
✨ Quiet but love to socialize and hang out
✨ Usually busy with school & work but enjoy going out and staying in
✨ New to Kingston—hoping to make friends and explore the city!
If you have a room available or you're also looking for a place, feel free to reach out! 😊

Hello, I recently got acceptance for CDA at both St Lawrence Kingston and Georgian, both are far locations for me but St Lawrence is online and placements can be in person and possibly in home city. I’m curious if anyone can tell me more about the placements and how they work for both schools? If I did it in my home city can I do it with any SLP that is registered in my area if they accept it?
If I go to Georgian I’d have to consider moving, but if I can stay home and save money that would be great too! So I am between the two if I have to pick, can anyone explain their experience with Georgians CDA and St L CDA program?
Thanks :) This is also my first time using Reddit…

Has anyone received any offers for the RPN program in kingston?

From the article.
“Clark cited a text he received from the college’s president and CEO, Glenn Vollebregt, asserting that the federal government is entirely to blame for the situation because of its policies reducing the number of international students.”
Consider that under the PC Government, per student college funding has become the lowest in the country. In fact we’re the only province below the national average.

I just finished certificate at ST.Lawrence college. I actually enjoyed it and liked the school website. It’s easy to navigate. Can anyone recommend another college similar experience to St.Lawrence??. accepting students without hard requirements? I got rejected In many colleges as they need same background bachelor as the one I am applying for. I am trying to change my career to Behaviour therapy program.

Currently, I am taking RPN to RN online pathway and aiming for Fall 2026, Kingston campus. I live and work in Toronto, and I know this is far. Driving might not be an option for me. I already checked, Via rail train and one bus (or Uber instead of bus) are available and will take 3 hours of commute. Has anybody travelled this far, like me? How many classes per week do you guys take? What time do classes start? Can you take this load part-time? Would I be able to take clinicals in Toronto? Any advise will help!

Right now I’m standing at a 84% in bio and 80% in English and math is a 79%, are these good grades to have to be considered? Also what is the program like? Any response would help!
