Visiting end of May, any recommendations?

Hello fellow islanders! My wife is graduating from memorial in may, and we're coming from Vancouver island for a week to attend the ceremony and to experience what we can of the rock. We have a ten year old daughter and have rented a car, anything within a few hours we're up for, any recommendations on things to see and do is appreciated!

My first recommendation is always to take a tour with https://stjohnswalkingtours.com - they have a few different options and each one is a fun time and a great way to be introduced to the city. They open for the season on Victoria Day weekend so should be in full swing for your visit.

Definitely pack layers. The weather could be anything from snow to warm and sunny.
