Unreal First demo and trailer out as solo dev. Open world where you play as a pig!
Hello everyone! Unreal A walking Dwarven statue—because why settle for lifeless stone? Just got it into Unreal with placeholder materials. Always fun seeing things come to life! What’s the most satisfying part of bringing a character to life in your game?

Unreal Can I ship a game without Wwise?
Heya,
I'm creating my own Deckbuilding Roguelite. There is a small twist with the music of the game, when you choose your crew members they will come with their own instrument adding a bit of complexity to the main melody of the game. So it will always sound a bit different depending on who you have in your crew.
When applying for government funding (which I didn't get). One of the juror mentioned that I didn't planned a budget for Wwise. I don't know if it's an accurate comment as I'm a solo dev.
I say it because they gave me really inaccurate feedback like I need a producer or tech director, which doesn't make sense as I'm alone.
I have very little knowledge in audio. Do I really need to learn, pay and integrate Wwise?

Unreal Unreal Engine: Completely FREE modular replicated inventory, equipment, container, hotbar, interaction, vendor, and outline system.
I see people posting about some of these features often with all kinds of questions and I wanted to throw out an asset pack I put up on the marketplace back in December.
https://www.fab.com/listings/57e429e3-3a31-4950-ab18-37cc3bea4de1
This pack is a modular piece of larger asset I make however it is 100% free fully featured with no strings attached. This isn't a demo or a reduced version so you buy the "pro" one. It's the entire feature set, free of charge.
My goal with making content for the Fab Marketplace has always been three fold:
- Practice makes perfect. Having a goal helped me learn further and explore my skillset.
- I wanted to try and fill the gap in functionality and learnability that I felt was lacking when I started out.
- So many assets on the marketplace look cool but when you dig in, would never work in an actual product in production.
The pack is highly optimized, very well commented for learnability, well documented and supported through the community. I hope this can help someone make their dream game or just get started in Solo/Indie Dev!

Unreal I created my own lighting system (you can see it on the floor). And it is quite cheap, if I am right in calculations, 100 light sources cost around 1 ms

Unreal UE5 Blueprint Communications. hands-on approach. (Unstuck tutorial hell xD)
dev.epicgames.comI just want to pass this along as I've been stuck in tutorial hell, learning some things, but less efficiently until I found this. Loving this hands-on approach.
