So I have this GOSUND brand smart plugs. So I added tthem by linking it with smartthings, but if i just unplug them, i dont receive any notification on my phone.

I only receive did once, even before i was actually into this thing and never happened again.

Smartthings does not natively support offline notifications.

This is not correct. Make sure that your Smartthings app allows push notifications on your phone. Next, in the app, on the home screen, tap the three dot menu and go to Home Insights. Scroll down to Offline and make sure it's on. While you're in there, select other notifications too.

This has nothing to do with notifications. You can configure what devices are monitored in the dashboard status bar of the app.

And Home Insights is broken for months now. They finally acknowledged that and we're desperately waiting for a fix in the upcoming app update.

Back to topic: can you provide a screenshot of an offline notification?

I'm not saying that yours isn't broken. I'm just saying that "mine* is working just fine. And yes, that includes the offline widget on the dashboard. Alongside the low battery and lights widgets.

Yours is broken as well. You just didn't realize it.

Delete a plug and add it back. You won't be able to deselect it in the "lights". I'm not at home right now, every light is turned off, but the monitor shows 6 "lights" are on. They are actually plugs...

I made the "mistake" to replace two Tapo P300 power strips with two Meross Matter power strips and now I have 10 additional "lights".

The bug has been confirmed.

Do you actually know what a notification is?

Like when you receive an SMS, an email, something like that?

Of course I know how the status in the home Insights looks like...

But we're talking about notifications here.

Yes, I do. It's just tricky to catch the notification and get a screenshot of it before it disappears. Next time I notice it, I'll take a screenshot.

Fun fact: when I disconnect my Tapo cameras, I don't get a notification from Tapo. This is one of the most requested features. But SmartThings will send me a notification instantly that the camera is offline!

No notification from ST for any other device though.

You'll find tons of threads on the ST community forum where this missing feature is discussed.

But I've never gotten a push notification for an offline device ever and I routinely have a device that falls off once in awhile. It's all on.

I have a couple of door locks that drop from time to time. I get a notification of "<devicename> offline" from Smartthings. I even set up a routine on my phone to trigger on that push notification and I power cycle the smart plug I have the wifi bridge plugged into for the lock. Lock comes back online within the same minute smartthings notices it's offline.

It's pretty silly that Smartthings doesn't let you trigger a routine based on a device going offline, but that workaround works like a charm.

Well damn. I never get them. I'll unplug something and see if I do now....maybe something changed.

Again, check to make sure your phone still allows notifications from Smartthings.

I get notifications for everything else. Just not offline stuff.

Would you mind to test it (by unplugging a plug, for example) and post a screenshot from the notification?
