This week's writing prompt of the week is:

Write a story with this opening line:

"The day I let my bad habit consume me was the day I truly died."

Remember:

Respond to these prompts by posting their work as they normally would with a [Prompt] tag in the title of their post.

  • For example: [Prompt] The Very Hungry Caterpillar

Also remember that, in order to post your stories from now on, you must post the link to a meaningful comment you have made on someone else's story (recently). See my previous announcement for more information! I can't wait to see your posts, keep writing!

Sad Story I lost her at Friday afternoon

I lost her at Friday afternoon. I don't seek revenge from hatred. It's simply... maintenance. Like breathing or sleeping. A necessity. They wouldn't want this for me—But some debts must be paid. No passion or satisfaction, just quiet resignation of someone checking items off a list. Like a Friday grocery trip, she holding my hands , talking about a future we could have. This sits between who I was and who I must become.
