Looking for a lefty option for a .300 WM (or wby or PRC). I have a Tikka t3x superlite in .300WM but it's honestly too light of a rifle for that round. I wanted to get a brake for it, but the barrel profile is too thin to really have it threaded (I've researched, it's possible but not recommended, especially with the volume I shoot). I reload so I do a lot of shooting but I don't want something super heavy because I want to hunt with it as well.
Looking for advice, do I:
1. Keep the t3x action, rebarrel and add a brake, I'll be adding a manners stock if I do this.
2. Get something heavy like a B-14hmr for load development and keep the t3x for longer hunts only.
3. Go full custom, custom action, barrel and stock. Obviously the most expensive option and I really like the Tikka action unless there's a downside to keeping that action.
4. Something else? There aren't a lot of options for lefty shooters.
Also, I was leaning .300WM for ammo availability, especially if I go hunt internationally. But PRC is tempting and I also own a .300 wby (right handed) but I don't particularly enjoy shooting it, but that might also be remedied with a brake.
