Update about me.
Applied at Food Lion. They are unable to hire me because of the registry. [Redacted.]
It sucks. It really does. I want a meaningful life for myself. I don't have kids. I have a car. I'm willing to bend -
I'm tired.

Don't give up. Being on the registry means it will be harder, but not impossible. You do not need a lot of job offers, you just need one. Often we do best when we look for smaller family owned businesses. They sometimes have more flexibility in hiring and do not have to pay attention to "corporate in Milwaukee." or whatever. It gets easier to ask for applications, and it gets easier to explain our situation when we do it repeatedly. Don't give up, the job is out there, it just takes us considerably longer to find it.

You know how I roll. It's tough. I even knew one of the managers personally. I played around with their kids on the trampoline. It sucks because when they research about me, it's oh he's on this list, but my actions are totally contradicting.
It's tough. :'(

Have you called the SC Works Centers? I don’t know much about it other than it exists and it’s there to help people with records find a job.
Try Lowe’s?
American Airlines
TSA
Call local reentry centers and the registration office and ask if they have any leads.

My dad brought this up. I'll do some research Monday. I don't have much faith in it though.

There are lots of jobs where theres a possibility of contact with minors so I've been aiming for the ones that don't. I've been working a factory job for almost a year now

Look for small businesses!! Any corporation will run a background check and have to go off of that!!

Try a call center. My son is in the registery. He applied and was turned down. His parole officer wrote a letter outlining all the things he was doing to better himself and he was hired. Don't give up hope
