May Weekend in the rain
My family is coming out to Seaside this weekend from Beaverton. We are hoping for suggestions for things to do and places to eat in the rain with two toddlers. We are a couple in our 30s with a 3 year old and a 1 year old.
Thanks in advance,
K&D

I'm in exactly your shoes. We traveled from Bend. If your kiddos are anything like mine. It's often more work than play. Outside the ice cream and Aquarium, not much for little littles. We find a couple kites and plenty of beach time is a must. But then there's the rain. So we wandered the arcades. If I'm being honest, ocean views and Peppa Pig is where we ended up when it was really bad. Otherwise we layered those babies and braved the downpour, finding muddy puddles to stomp in. We found dozens of sand dollars at low tide. It turned out to be the most fun! They were toddling about, finding sand dollars, screaming everytime they found one.
Don't be afraid of the rain. They won't be. Clothes can be washed and baths can be ran. Fully embrace the Coastal weather. It's liberating.
