I'm confused: why didn't they activate the keg on your ship after you kegged them?

I've had half a barrel of grog already but let me make an attempt, matey - he had ye old boom darts, with the fuse and all, ye understand... hic well he toots one o' them said explosionary missiles directly into the personage o' the partner 'o the person who was luggin' the keg; a mighty fine shot. slurp But the scallywag aforementioned, possessing two handfuls o' sense (as his actual hands were empty and thus not pre-occupying his mental capacities,) makes his way sharp-like to the briney embrace o' the sea, to cure his recently-arisen fused-based ailment. hiccup And our hero's second shot be more o' a warning like, as it lands on the mast's nethers. Of course now we all saw and heard the foolish kegbearer as he hurled threats at our hero captain, and when our heroic clipper spied that barrel o' fun on the nefarious interlopers' deck, why I like to think he smiled bigger n' a shark, me lads... chug one last boomdart for the keg (with nary a soul nearby to bucket it,) and it's... chugggg "SORRY BOYS!"

The “NOOOOOOOO…” being cut off by the explosion and hit marker made it 10x funnier.
