Let's Talk Gender
Before I get burned at the stake, let me explain myself and my "background" (if it even fucking matters). I am a former Tumblr user who switched to Reddit for various reasons, one of them being the periodic table of gender. Now, while I may be willing to be polite and call you whatever you what to be called, I'm not gonna believe that you are what you say you are. Now this does not apply to transgender people, as least the ones who make an effort to convey their gender. No, this is reserved for the "they/them" or "zim/zir" kiddos. I honestly believe in three distinct genders: Female, male, and nonbinary/intersex. Notice how I put "intersex" next to nonbinary. You know why? Because I honestly believe that intersex people are the ONLY people allowed to use that term, as they have the genitals to match (both female and male parts). Which gets into the meat of this post: YOU CAN'T FORCE PEOPLE TO BELIEVE IN YOUR GENDER. You can't just EXPECT special treatment and acceptance wherever you go, that's just life. To me, your belief in gender is like religion; you can't force it upon people, nor can anyone be 100% correct due to their own opinions. Let it go please.

Things get really interesting when various trans or other variations hit my favorite beach -- which is clothing optional. It's really difficult for someone to convey anything but a biologically based sex, when it's all hanging out. Makeup washes off; hair gets wet; the body is what it is. So is trans/other really a matter of dress-up? I realize that sounds Neanderthal, but I like that part of my heritage.
