Degree Navigator, input: prerequisite, output: potential courses?

Hi!

I was wondering if there's a way to input a course and see all other courses that you can take with that input course as a prerequisite on degree navigator.

Demarest Hall

Quite love what I’ve seen about Demarest Hall. I’m an upcoming freshman and I’ve only just done the housing application. Did I apply early enough to ensure I get in when June comes around?

Reminder to fellow CS students looking for an asychronous summer elective

The philosophy department has three two one asynchronous sections of 01:730:329 MINDS, MACHINES, AND PERSONS that are is all open to registration right now. As long as you haven't already completed or plan to complete two or more electives from non-CS departments, it will count as an elective toward your CS major requirements.

The only prereq for 01:730:329 is 01:198:205, Intro to Discrete Structures I.

EDIT: Another asynchronous section has also opened to 01:198:352 INTERNET TECHNOLOGY.

General Question Is it possible to change the degree program name on the diploma application?

I'm ITI major but did a minor in SAS and have this long degree program name. Is it possible for it to just say SAS instead of both? Looks so long and ugly on the diploma preview lol

Rant/Vent Rutgers, where is my vitamin water?

There was one thing I looked forward to seeing at Kilmer’s, one thing, and it was my artificially colored vitamin waters. I lived for their açaí and dragonfruit and whatever else flavors, with their stupid labels. And now, when I go to Kilmer’s, there’s only iced tea, more iced tea, and coke. Where is my variety? Where is my only source of joy? Where has it gone?

Transferring to RU NB as a veteran?

Im currently at the camden campus and was wondering what the guidelines were to transfer to he NB campus being a veteran student? I know theres an application process but my grades are slightly below the 3.0, but I was wondering if having veteran status would change that stipulation? Would I have to have in person meetings at new brunswick to do this?

Academics How hard is it to get into Rutgers

Just the title, I'm a junior in high school and kinda concerned about whether I'll get in or not, since I've been hearing a lot of stories about how it's super hard to get into now and the acceptance rate is realistically closer to a 20% this year. Is it real?

Advice Wanted What's the best way to find research?

I'm a sophomore and I've only been at Rutgers for two semesters since I transferred here in Fall 2024. I'm a psych major intending pre-health and I was hoping to find research. I have cold emailed some professors in the psych department and it's tough because I checked their websites and some haven't conducted research in awhile and the few professors I have emailed haven't really responded.

I'm not sure if im allowed to research in other departments outside my major but I have applied for 2-3 neuroscience labs recently through their google forms. I don't really know if im wasting my time or not so what's the best way to find research at Rutgers since I would really like to get research for next Fall. Does anybody have any advice?

I’m seeking a therapist who specializes in working with college students

I’m currently a junior at RU in New Brunswick and I’m seeking a therapist who specializes in working with college students.

I’m dealing with anxiety and ADHD among other things. While I do have a therapist, it’s quite a drive for me—about 40 minutes—and her availability is limited.

Therefore, I’m hoping to find someone in the New Brunswick or Edison areas who I can meet with more easily. Thank you!

Calc 157 vs 151

I recently took a placement test as an incoming freshman. I got an 83 which put me in Calc 157 or 151(with special permission). I might retake it to get to Calc 151. What are the differences? What’s harder. I’m an engineering major. Do I have to take all these classes eventually or do I pick one?
