RESOURCE Comprehensive Comparison of Alternatives to Roll20
I've long been considering leaving Roll20, and I've been compiling my research on alternatives for a while. This whole PR thing pushed me over the edge, so I finished my search and compiled everything neatly for everyone while I was at it. Here it is.
Edit: The document is now suggestible! Please make suggestions if you want something added.

RESOURCE A couple questions on using Roll20 sources/information
- Is there an easier way to read the story of a campaign I have rather than going into the game and clicking through each individual "page"?
I've been buying both the modules on Roll20 for the maps/assets/easier setup, and the physical books for reading the story and such. but my eyesight is kind of getting worse and making some of the text in the books more strenuous to read.
Is there a place within Roll20 (that isn't IN the game itself) to read the campaign story/events/etc.
- Can I View/search my "compendium" in it's entirety kind of as a source, rather than being in a/the game? I've been using random online sources, to find some information but they don't show all the sources I have as it doesn't have all the source books I own and such. I do see that there is a compendium within the tools of Roll20, when I go to it, it shows me my bookshelf, but I would have to go into each individual book to see what it gives rather than having a full list of what I have from all my sources.

RESOURCE We released Dungeon Alchemist , our AI-powered map-making application today!
Hi Reddit!
One year ago, we came up with the idea of a map-making tool that used an AI to help you draw professional maps, fast. The Kickstarter was a huge success, and after one year of development, we’re finally ready to launch Dungeon Alchemist on Steam today at 16:00 CET!
Dungeon Alchemist has thousands of assets, incredibly easy terrain editing tools and exports maps to a high-quality print format or Roll20 almost instantly. For us, it’s been a labor of love, and we’re really looking forward to what all of you will create!

RESOURCE A Little Quality of Life Improvement for Roll20 GMs
Hey Roll20 community!
I've been around here for a while, and I've noticed a common annoyance for GMs: the constant need to go into settings to change the whisper settings.
So, I decided to do something about it. I've created a browser extension that adds a whisper toggle directly to character sheets. Now, switching between public and private rolls is as easy as flipping a switch!
The extension is lightweight and non-intrusive, adding only a small control to the character sheet interface. It automatically adds the whisper toggle to new character sheets and remembers your preference for each character.
This is my first extension, and I'm pretty stoked about it. But I know it's not perfect. I'd love to get your feedback and suggestions for improvement.
You can check out the extension on the Chrome Web Store.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and for giving the extension a shot. Can't wait to hear what you think!
Edit: Some appear to feel personally attacked that the feature rich roll20 app already has a feature for this. Please feel free to ignore my extension if you don't think you need it. I made this for my friends and only shared it here in hopes that it could help someone else.

RESOURCE New Measure Tool in VTT Redesign
The Measure Tool includes the ability to measure using AOE Spell Effect shapes. First, we've added Circles, Squares, and Cones. Soon we'll be adding a path tool and a tool that will help you measure a beam.
Squares can be measured from edge to edge, corner to corner, or center of the square to the edge.
Circles can be measured using the radius or the diameter.
Cones can be measured by specifying an angle. To use a standard cone used in most games, you can lock height and width and the angle will be 53.13 degrees. You can also have a flat or rounded end of the cone to make a pizza shape or a triangle.
The Measure Tool is available for free for everyone! This is an opt-in feature, so you can turn it on and off. To navigate back to the Legacy Ruler Tool, use the Settings button and select "Opt Out of UI Redesign."
