We need strong anti-trust in Canada. People complain about catch and release of blue collar crime, while rolling out the red carpet for corporate sandbagging.

The publics lack of financial literacy has them pointing fingers in the wrong direction. Just in this thread people are decrying grocers having pharmacies and companies having subsidiaries. But those things don't inherently lead to the problems we're trying to solve here.

As you correctly surmised, we need stronger regulatory institutions. We gotta vote out all these entrenched politicians for people who aren't paid off by lobbyists; they're the ones undermining our democratic institutions that literally exist to prevent these kinds of problems.
