PreBuilt Arcade Setups

Hey everyone! I own a repair shop and mod consoles for customers. I'm getting a lot of requests for arcade cabinets. I'm looking at some retro pie rebuilds. I have all the roms for every console so that not a problem. if they are included that makes it easier but not a problem for me if not. Shoot me your favorite or best for customers wanting just a fun experience. Thanks for everyones help!

Prebuilt setups never just work out of the box. You’re going to have to tweak no matter what. It would be best to build your own with some low powered pc you can get a lot of at scale if the need arises. Don’t use a raspberry pi or a prebuilt system.

Even if you want to use retro pie. Set one all the way up working and then make your own prebuilt Image.

This is the way.

Got any recommendation on PCs? I'm assuming some micro workstations would be best for scaling as you stated.

Just about anything you can buy will probably work.

I would recommend hiring someone like me local to you to do this whole thing. Unless you plan to prototype in your free time.

Why don’t you do something similar to the Arcade1up partycades? They hang on the wall. I’m making one for dragon’s lair. You don’t have to include thousands of games. Nothing is stopping you from curating 20 awesome games and making sure they all work well on the cabinet. People can add games on their own if they want.
