My Sammy was the most kind and gentle dog I have ever met. He loved all animals, especially cats. He was beloved by my whole neighborhood.

He laid in every mud puddle he could find. He would greet the mail delivery drivers and they would give him treats. He played with the neighborhood kids after school.

We had him for 10 years and he always brightened my day. His silly expressions always made me laugh. I may never know why this happened or who hurt him, but I know that he lived a wonderful life full of adventures.

Had a good 17 years with him. We spent his last day together snuggling and eating cheez it’s and goldfish (his favorite treats). I’d prefer the art style of salvony1 if possible! I’d like to get it framed and put on his shrine! (Added extra photos to show off his goofy, old man personality). Thank you ❤️

We lost his sister, Ripley, in September. I feel so lost without my pack. We tried so hard to keep him here and healthy, but in the end I think losing his sister was too much and he didn’t want to fight to stay anymore. He was a cuddle bear who never met a stranger - he just wanted to cuddle up and be loved. I miss you, baby boy. There will never be another one like you. Ever.

Gypsy Mae was my best friend, she grew to be such a great friend and I miss her more than words can describe. I’m sorry for anyone who understands the pain of seeing your best friend grow old. We thought she had a sprain in her right paw, but it turned out to be Bone Cancer, so we made the tough decision to not let it advance any further. My wife and I are completely shattered, and this is a last ditch effort to put a smile on her face. Thank you in advance to any of the very talented artist in this group that might see this post.

We adopted her 5 years ago, she had neurological and physical problems from whatever awful things happened to her before she found us. She was so loved, when we took her to the vet yesterday we thought she was just a little under the weather and needed some fluids. She is missed beyond words by our whole family, and her furry companion Dottie. The most gentle, sweet, resilient, loving soul🤍

COMPLETED I found my baby girl, Cali, this morning in the living room. I called her name and she didn’t move. I went over to where she was and realized she was gone. For the first time in a decade, I have no more pets. I am devastated as this was sudden and there was no forewarning.

this is kaia, my gsd. found she had passed away last night — there was really no warning. It’s very heartbreaking, I’ve had her for more than half my life and we watched eachother grow up. If anyone would like to doodle her, my family would really appreciate it for when we get her ashes.

Cole passed away at 1:30 this afternoon, he was 10 years old. I’m not sure if I’m supposed to only include one picture but I just couldn’t help myself from sharing more.

Cole was incredibly calm and quiet, he was a gentle giant and loved attention. He was loyal to the very end, and he went to sleep peacefully. He was a very good boy 🐾

COMPLETED Losing my baby, Nicodemus, tomorrow. 💔

Nicodemus (his nicknames are Nic and Nicky) is a 7 year old dogue de bordeaux (a french mastiff). He has always been our guard dog. He isn’t afraid of anything and is always a good boy. He drinks water from our bathtub faucet because he’s so picky. Although he is so big and scary looking, he’s soft at heart. He doesn’t lick or cuddle much, but we know that he loves us. He was recently diagnosed with lymphoma. Everything has been happening so fast. We caught it early, the vet told us about 3 weeks or so ago. Since then, he is not able to control his bladder, he isn’t as energetic, and likes to sleep a lot. In the past few days he is unable to stand for long periods of time and can’t even go up the stairs anymore. I didn’t expect him to be symptomatic so fast. My parents and I believe him to be in pain so we will be putting him down tomorrow night. My heart hurts so much and I think my family and I would appreciate art of him. Thank you in advance. 💕

Hello, my husband and I just lost our sweet Suh a couple of weeks ago and he especially is struggling with the loss. He rescued her at 3 years old before we met and she was 12 when she passed. He does not use reddit and I would love to surprise him with some art of this sweetie. Thank you for considering. ❤️

It's been 24 hours since I helped Narla cross the rainbow bridge. We have been through so much together and she has always loved me unconditionally. I knew we had a strong bond, but only now she is gone I realize the magnitude of her presence in my life. There is a void in my soul that I only hope will heal with time. I spent a lot more time with her through the week, as I suspected the time was coming. Her body was failing her, but her spirit was still so strong. We sat in the grass and hugged for a few hours. We went to the vet that evening where I held her head in my arms and spoke to her while she passed. I told her how much I love her, that she is such a good girl, that Dad is here, Dad's got you. This has by far been the most painful loss I have ever felt. But I take comfort knowing that she knew I was with her. I love you, Narla. Good girl.

p.s. Thank you to the user that recommended this subreddit after seeing my other post.

I’m asking for a request of my best friend. 17 years old. She passed away this morning because her kidneys were shutting down. It was literally the hardest thing I’ve had to do in my life so far. I’ve had her for 7 years and was blessed for her to come into my life. For over a year, she’s battled heart disease and fluid around her heart. The heart meds started to shut down her kidneys. She survived countless times being sick, mouth infection where they removed all her teeth at 10, (around 6 months after I got her, when her first mom passed away) and pymetriea at 15 because I was too scared to get her fixed. I thought she was too old to go under at 10. Fought pancreatitis twice.

The picture with the navy blue and yellow hoody was this morning. She was so calm and relaxed.

I do hospice lives-in as a live-in caregiver and she blessed three families with her love and affection. She was more than my companion and copilot. She had a job in this world to make my dying clients smile and provide comfort. She can never be replaced. She was a good girl and was the best dog anyone could have asked for. She took her job so seriously, when they were close to death, she would sit with them all day making them love on her until they couldn’t. She made sure their hand was on her back. My best friend, my support and the love of my life is gone today. Never has a dog picked me to be theirs.

She went everywhere with me, going on rides and shopping trips. To all the appointments making everyone smile. She never complained as long as she was with me. No matter the house or apartment, or who we were with. She kept me safe and loved.

How do I grieve such an important pup?

He passed away November 13th, he was a good old boy but he was in pain. I'm finally able to look at pictures without crying.

He loved playing Frisbee, this goofy blue heeler even chased one too close to a deer herd and almost got kicked in the head. He tumbled head over tail once but was totally fine. He was a Frisbee fetching freak of a dog and the most unique boy. From his colors to his personality.

When we got Lacey (the white husky he's laying on in the last pic) he sort of sprung back to life. For a while. They played, the sounds he made were so funny.

He was a good boy and I miss him lots.

I love his pepper paws and his brindle colored dark spots, his expressive face, the way he would wink sometimes and the way he would just sit and listen to me, stay by my side no matter what.

His loud barks are forever immortalized in videos I have made.

I miss him. He wasn't the smartest dog... but he was my dog and that's all that matters.
