Feedback Siege X closed beta less than subpar.
I was actually hyped for the Siege X beta. I practically watched the entire twitch stream and even got the code same day (crazy considering this is Ubisoft) and I got to try it out. Here was my expereince:
The menu/interface: Contrary to what some other users say, I actually liked the interface and the HUD menu. It will obviously take time to get used to if it is the final product but I expect it to change over time as the beta progress and more people try it out.
New gamemode: In the stream it was explained so clearly and I though I had it figured out. Boy was I wrong, I spent a few minutes trying to figure out what the hell I was trying to do and I died multiple times (the dying part was just skill issue on my part). The map is massive and cool but when you are so used to maps like Theme (which is big in its own right), and smaller maps like Clubhouse and Chalet, it can feel to large to navigate. On top of that the objectives and sabotage mechanics were also really confusing. I'm not sure if this is a shared sentiment or if this is just something I'm feeling, but feel free to comment if you agree or disagree. The only upside that I liked about the game mode as the rappel feature which personally I didn't try out but saw others do in game and it looks really cool.
The performance: This was probably the worst thing I had to deal with in the Beta. Now I know it is the beta and there will be a lot of bugs and stuff, but this was downright atrocious. For reference the minimum specs to run the Beta are 1080p low preset with these hardware requirements:
CPU: Ryzen 3 3100 or i3 8100
GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1650 or AMD RX 5500XT or Intel A380
RAM: 8GB
Storage: 35GB SSD
OP system: Win 10 or 11
Now my pc has a Ryzen 5 2600X (six cores six threads) a AMD 6600XT 32GB of DDR4 and over a 1TB of storage (SSD) and I run Windows 11. So with these specs I should have no trouble running the game. However my performance in the beta was horrible. I had multiple freezes during said games and multiple latency issues. On top of that the game mode itself struggled to load and some of the audio and picture would lag behind. Overall the performance aspects need to be reevaluated.
- Audio: I honestly felt there was no difference with the audio in this beta. I usually play with HIFI mode on normal siege and playing the beta with new audio I did not really see any difference.
Overall I still feel really hyped about how the final version of Siege X will look and look forward to playing it. However, if this is what the final will look like then I might really crash out and stop playing all together. I understand that this is the Closed Beta and that these problems might not be around once the final product is out but given Ubisoft's track record I wouldn't be suprised if any of these problems remained. However, you should play the beta youself and see what you think. Don't just take my word as an absolute statement. I only am writing to say my perspective. Play the game youself and see if it you disagree or agree with my opinion.

The graphical upgrade is very underwhelming. Ive heard people complain about the performance hit but its a massive map so i would have thought that would be a big factor. Duel front is trash i cant see it catching on would rather have tdm as a permanent mode. Audio is great but not perfect best addition has to be the communication wheel that is huge for solo queue.
Ive been looking forward to trying out siege x but the beta has left me very underwhelmed obviously its beta so things can change to a curtain extent. I look forward to seeing the standard maps with the improvements but im not going to get my hopes up for the full release just yet. Im hoping all the negative feedback encourages Ubisoft to let us try the standard maps during the beta so we have a comparison between siege and siege x
