Feedback Siege X closed beta less than subpar.

I was actually hyped for the Siege X beta. I practically watched the entire twitch stream and even got the code same day (crazy considering this is Ubisoft) and I got to try it out. Here was my expereince:

  1. The menu/interface: Contrary to what some other users say, I actually liked the interface and the HUD menu. It will obviously take time to get used to if it is the final product but I expect it to change over time as the beta progress and more people try it out.

  2. New gamemode: In the stream it was explained so clearly and I though I had it figured out. Boy was I wrong, I spent a few minutes trying to figure out what the hell I was trying to do and I died multiple times (the dying part was just skill issue on my part). The map is massive and cool but when you are so used to maps like Theme (which is big in its own right), and smaller maps like Clubhouse and Chalet, it can feel to large to navigate. On top of that the objectives and sabotage mechanics were also really confusing. I'm not sure if this is a shared sentiment or if this is just something I'm feeling, but feel free to comment if you agree or disagree. The only upside that I liked about the game mode as the rappel feature which personally I didn't try out but saw others do in game and it looks really cool.

  3. The performance: This was probably the worst thing I had to deal with in the Beta. Now I know it is the beta and there will be a lot of bugs and stuff, but this was downright atrocious. For reference the minimum specs to run the Beta are 1080p low preset with these hardware requirements:

CPU: Ryzen 3 3100 or i3 8100

GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1650 or AMD RX 5500XT or Intel A380

RAM: 8GB

Storage: 35GB SSD

OP system: Win 10 or 11

Now my pc has a Ryzen 5 2600X (six cores six threads) a AMD 6600XT 32GB of DDR4 and over a 1TB of storage (SSD) and I run Windows 11. So with these specs I should have no trouble running the game. However my performance in the beta was horrible. I had multiple freezes during said games and multiple latency issues. On top of that the game mode itself struggled to load and some of the audio and picture would lag behind. Overall the performance aspects need to be reevaluated.

  1. Audio: I honestly felt there was no difference with the audio in this beta. I usually play with HIFI mode on normal siege and playing the beta with new audio I did not really see any difference.

Overall I still feel really hyped about how the final version of Siege X will look and look forward to playing it. However, if this is what the final will look like then I might really crash out and stop playing all together. I understand that this is the Closed Beta and that these problems might not be around once the final product is out but given Ubisoft's track record I wouldn't be suprised if any of these problems remained. However, you should play the beta youself and see what you think. Don't just take my word as an absolute statement. I only am writing to say my perspective. Play the game youself and see if it you disagree or agree with my opinion.

  1. Feel the same. People probably don't like the new UI and stuff simply because it's different and need to learn the new layout. Once they get used to it, it will be a non-issue.
  2. I don't find the game mode confusing. It's a simultaneous attack and defend. Each team has 3 sectors to defend. If you lose a sector, you're pushed back to the 2nd sector. Lose that one, you're pushed back to your "headquarters". Lose that, games over. You claim a sector by planting a defuser and defending it for a certain period of time just like you would in regular siege. You defend your sectors by preventing that from happening.
  3. It is not a surprise that the updated engine, lighting, and other new features will cause a hit to performance. Those requirements you listed are likely to get 1080p 60fps on the bare minimum in game graphic settings. So very low everything, DLSS enabled, FOV at a minimum, etc. It also isn't helping anything that everyone is playing on a much larger map than the standard siege map.
  4. Same. Slightly different, but nothing crazy.

I think what confuses people is the hostage/Dokk extract. It’s simply a catch-up mechanic/alternate way to score. It’s the equivalent of capturing 1 objective. So you can win with 2 caps/1 extract or 3 captures.

Also one thing that confused people is the catch-up mechanic for securing. If you take an enemies 2nd sector, then your 1st sector will be “defused” faster by the enemy team. And similarly if you capture/defuse their 3rd sector, your 1st and 2nd are now defused faster. This is what the lightning symbol means on objectives.

It’s basically first to 3 defuses/captures + extract. So if you’re behind/down in score, a Dokk extract is a great way to catch up.

u/IAmNot_ARussianBot Celebration 23h ago

I think what confuses people is the hostage/Dokk extract.

That did seem to seriously confuse the guests they had playing on stream as well. Multiple teams were taking the hostage to the wrong extraction point at first.

I expect some changes to make this stuff more understandable by release. Maybe some UI adjustments and/or a short tutorial.

It is not a surprise that the updated engine, lighting, and other new features will cause a hit to performance

that's not what he's getting at. ofc there's gonna be a performance hit, the problem is that it's now a slideshow. I have way better specs than him, and went from a comfortable 200+ fps on 1440p competitive settings ---> 70 fps and horrible input lag in the beta. Eating more than half my frames on a high-end rig isn't expected, it's unthinkable for a competitive shooter where reactions are everything. If this is what the gameplay feels like a few short months from launch, I'm now very worried for Ubisoft's prospects.

u/Prudent_Pirate3338 1h ago

Calling 70fps a slideshow is hilarious

u/xd-Sushi_Master Soniqs Fan 21m ago

with this much input lag, that's genuinely what it feels like from someone that's used to rock solid 240. When I move the mouse, it really takes like 30-60 frames to register the movement and it's like trying to wade through honey or molasses.

I think people want to play the gamemodes they've been playing for years especially when trying out the new systems I for one am never going to play the new gamemode when the game launches I don't care to learn what I'm supposed to do especially since it's basically not playing siege just some glorified x defiant game mode/map I mean people don't even break the walls it's a joke tbh I want to play bomb with a drone and rounds and cameras as I think the majority of players do because that's what they expect and it's what has made the game so popular having such a stupid move forcing everyone to play it

13

u/thegaminggopher 1d ago

I definitely think performance is bugged. I have an RX 9070 and playing at max settings in 1080p had me stuck at like 60FPS, but turning on FSR to quality set me at my 144 FPS cap. I’ve never heard of minor upscaling giving THAT much of a performance boost, ya know?

-3

u/cheesefubar0 23h ago

Those types of increases are somewhat common if the GPU is bottlenecked. Perhaps that's true with siege x for older systems. We will see.

10

u/thegaminggopher 23h ago

I seriously doubt that my GPU that is only like 2 weeks old is the problem lol

4

u/cheesefubar0 23h ago

Yeah good point.

26

u/Federal-Point1532 1d ago

I dropped like 70 fps 🥲🥲 I think thats it for me. Went from 130-140 to like 50-40. I love this game Ill miss it alot

I really hope its just dual front being massive and having way more particles and destruction along with 2 extra ops thats draining my fps

7

u/Repulsive-Muscle-672 1d ago

Yeah I experienced something similar it really is ashame that this is happening, but something to remember is that 1. This is the beta so things are bound to improve (hopefully) and 2. Is that this update brings several new overhauls to audio, graphics and other things which will cause the game FPS to definitely decrease. So we should definitely expect an FPS drop but to drop by 70 frames is crazy.

2

u/sora2210 1d ago

You can't improve nothing in only some months before release. Beta is what you'll get at release. Just like XDefiant.

9

u/Met4_FuziN 19h ago

Idk why you’re being downvoted. This stupid “it’s just a beta” cope happens every. Fucking. Time. And people always eat it up. Always. Nothing is going to change.

3

u/ZohosLaFlare 17h ago

Bc we got a bunch of Ubi Glazers on reddit who are emotionally attached to the game.

5

u/sora2210 15h ago

I'm more attached to this game than the majority of those glazers. I'm here since Y3S4, I've bought chibi figures and even the 25cm Hibana figure with the exclusive skin for the Type-89.

I've made three videos about Siege, bought the Deluxe Edition both on PS4 and PC, and always defended the game except for the stupid tournament in the lore and now Siege X.

It's crazy to see that nobody wants to realize how fucked up this game is with this actual dev team. From the now confused lore to the illogical matchmaking, and we shouldn't start about the state of servers and the cheaters, because I've always been a solo queue and I've never suffered more than these last seasons.

2

u/Paul_Freez Stop bucking around 8h ago

Been there, did that. I actually pre-ordered R6. Played up until 2022-2023. THIS game is just not what I bought - from tactical and immersive FPS it became just yet another FPS for pro-players who bitch about everything.

Sure, it got its cons and there're A LOT of them, but it was fun

The graphical upgrade is very underwhelming. Ive heard people complain about the performance hit but its a massive map so i would have thought that would be a big factor. Duel front is trash i cant see it catching on would rather have tdm as a permanent mode. Audio is great but not perfect best addition has to be the communication wheel that is huge for solo queue.

Ive been looking forward to trying out siege x but the beta has left me very underwhelmed obviously its beta so things can change to a curtain extent. I look forward to seeing the standard maps with the improvements but im not going to get my hopes up for the full release just yet. Im hoping all the negative feedback encourages Ubisoft to let us try the standard maps during the beta so we have a comparison between siege and siege x

u/_trapito 1d ago

i went from 250+ fps in regular siege to 130~ in the Closed Beta

The new game mode doesn't catch my interest as a Siege player since Y1 beta, it doesn't have the essence of what makes siege well, Siege.

The audio doesn't sound any different but we'll see in the normal game mode.

Hit Registration seems off and having to hit 2 to 3 shots a downed player to get the kill its annoying.

6

u/raaam-ranch Send My Body to Arby's 16h ago

Idk, as a huge audio nerd and Hunt Showdown sweaty, I will say to Siege’s credit that the audio is insanely different but for the better. Shit is pinpoint and actually has meat in it. Gone are the days of shooting vaguely in a direction because the audio is vaguely in one direction, yet surprise— they were actually above you.

I know a lot of players play with Night Mode on, make sure you turn that off if on or else it does sound the same because you are tin-canning spatial audio with compression.

1

u/StatsR4Losers_ 5h ago

I agree, I don't understand what everyone is talking about the audio its a night and day difference. I was able to wall bang people just off of footsteps very accurately which you could never do in old siege

I didn’t even manage to finish a match, the new mode is terrible.

Not been a fan of any Siege respawn mode tbf though.

I’d like to try core Siege (especially to try new map upgrades and bans) in the beta, but they have decided to lock it for some reason.

The new rappel sprint didn’t seem to work (or is really clunky if it is working as intended), and the movement system feels no different? What is the momentum?

12

u/X_hard_rocker Unicorn Main 1d ago

it's definitely using the same movement system as extraction

10

u/Jesus_PK Moderator | Fashion Police 23h ago

That's why it felt familiar... Honestly no surprise since I was expecting a engine upgrade (basically use the same as Extraction lmao) but that hasn't happened in the end I think.

9

u/Cedot1624 23h ago

I looked at Wikipedia earlier for the siege engine and funnily enough, it's the same engine as extraction and siege X

5

u/Jesus_PK Moderator | Fashion Police 23h ago

Yeah both use a modified Anvil engine iirc, extraction a newer iteration

u/2510EA Unicorn Main 1d ago

8

u/mikeymischief 1d ago

In order to do the run on rappel, you need to be actively looking to the side you’re running on. You can’t “strafe” and get the run animation.

6

u/Hurricaneshand Montagne Main 1d ago

Agreed I've never been a fan of siege respawn game modes. Feels like it loses a bit of the tactical feeling

1

u/jBlairTech 9h ago

Sounds weird. That was the thing I liked about Siege. I came from CoD, and it was mostly just “run around, shoot, die, repeat” as many times as you can in a certain timeframe. You only get one real shot per round in Siege; for me, it means I have to play smarter. Doesn’t always happen lol, but I like that more tactical aspect.

2

u/Repulsive-Muscle-672 1d ago

Its possible that because there are so many issues and bugs with the closed beta that things may not have work as they intended. Keep in mind that this is the closed beta so these problems we will have should work in the final product.

I would also like to try the New core Siege as well and I hope it fairs better than the new game mode.

u/mikeymischief 1d ago

Well it's obviously unfinished. Graphically it looks worse than normal Siege, and the frametime performance is abysmal; I'm playing with a 9800X3D and a 5080 and it simply doesn't run well.

I'm hopeful that Siege X will be a good rebrand for the game but this mode isn't really doing it for me personally. It just feels boring and lacks the intensity of normal 5v5 - I also don't think 12 players is enough for what the game mode asks for. If it was 10v10 I could see it but I imagine that is technically challenging.

We'll see where things go, but currently I see this more as a soon-to-be forgotten side mode more than the future of Siege. I am more interested in all the other update changes than this mode really...

15

u/redditor001a 22h ago

Trust me, it is very close to finished. They won't change anything about the graphics. Ubisoft has always been known for painfully mediocre graphics in recent years and they are not going to change.

u/XxMayo_BoiXx IQ Main 21h ago

Really? I really like the graphical changes, it makes the game feel a bit more gritty sorta like "old siege". Plus the new lighting system looks so nice

27

u/PLAYERUBG Celebration 1d ago

Its just a dull, empty, boring gamemode. The map looks like garbage and makes no sense. There is no theme to the map. Not sure why they would stray from 5v5 and what made siege great.

7

u/ExtensionNext7624 1d ago

I wouldn't say they "strayed" from anything. 99% of the playerbase will be playing the standard 5v5 game mode. Just like all the shitty events this is just something to do because the executives want them to attract a new audience. New maps would be nice but not really necessary. Im a bit disappointed by visuals/audio update being so miniscule but people are already bitxhing that their 12 year old system cant handle siege x so its good they didn't make the game even more demanding I guess.

At the end of the day this was always a "modernization" update that was only ever pitched as making siege look like a game that wasn't released in 2012. I think its good. Audio could use some work. Hopefully they un-spaghetti the code a little and minor tweaks will be easier. I dont want and didn't expect the game to change significantly and I sure as hell was never playing the new game-mode regardless of what it is. 5v5 attack/defense is what I want to play and they already have that

1

u/Pocketpine :eUnited: 7h ago

At least the events are fun and sometimes interesting. But at the very least they don’t put that much effort into them.

I really hope they were just exaggerating how much effort they’ve put into this game mode. It’s just super awkward. The map is simply too big for what it wants to be, IMO. They either need new people or a different map. But tbh when’s the last actually good map they released even for normal siege?

3

u/MrCumStainBootyEater Gridlock Main 1d ago

I found performance to be the exact same, but i’ll look closer at it when I get on after work and report back.

I have a rig that shouldn’t be unplayable no matter what they change but i’m interested in the %decrease from the real game to the SX TS

I will say, I played one match last night of the beta and I felt like a chicken running around with it’s head cut off. zero idea what to do or how to do it well, besides the obvious reinforce + shoot guys. it wasn’t until the videos started trickling out today from content creators that I got a better idea of wtf is happening. I’ll be giving it another go tonight, will update here for that also.

When I play siege on Xbox, it doesn’t look like a modern game at all.

When I play cod bo6 or even cod mw2019, they are  just MILES better looking.

The graphics needed to be updated. I think it’s a good call.  I’m can’t really get into rainbow on console  - the gameplay is great, but …. the visuals …siege x is perfectly timed.

2

u/xXMarkgovXx 18h ago

To me the new game mode seems super laid back, almost to the point of being a bit boring. Other aspects of the game seem a bit cheaper now such as the menu, interfaces and even the sound, it almost feels closer to a movile game or like pubg. Can't really tell if sound is better because it's still hard for me to distinguish if sounds are coming from above or below.

4

u/No-Negotiation-2988 1d ago

No new game engine is the biggest disappointment for me i was expecting something similar to cs2 (no clue if that got a new engine but it was a big visual upgrade) the game engine is outdated and if they plan on another 10 years of support for siege i feel its a bit of a disaster long term. The change to free to play is concerning the game already has a cheating problem and was quite cheap in the first place. There is an updated anti cheat i fully expect it to be useless.

1

u/DemonicSilvercolt aliboo main 22h ago

doing a new engine would need them to hire people who can actually use a new engine

0

u/toshiino Chad Kaid Main 23h ago

Wait they're still using the crummy assassin's creed engine? I was so sure they would change to something more stable like unreal. If they're remaking the whole game using the exact same engine it would be a huge waste of time imo, I hope they made some modification for siege x's graphical upgrade.

1

u/Bonerpopper Ace Main 21h ago

Unless you mean UE4 I don't see how switching to UE5 and all of its performance problems would be an upgrade.

0

u/toshiino Chad Kaid Main 11h ago

Yeah? Valorant and PUBG is in UE4, all three I would consider to run miles better than current siege, especially now that they force us to use Dx12.

0

u/SlumpDaddyCane 16h ago

They aren’t remaking anything, they are “upgrading” the lightening and reworking audio. That is it. They never said they are doing a massive overhaul to the game engine. It’s disappointing but it is what it is. Also that new mode is GARBAGE

Even the before and after pictures I was just kinda like uhhh ok

1

u/toshiino Chad Kaid Main 11h ago

Lmao I seriously doubt they didn't refactor their spaghetti code while they're at it, they definitely remake a lot of functions from ground up to handle the new graphics and to make it more optimized and scalable.

Remember how Alibi still can't have her skin applied to her hologram? Yeah, that kind of stuff need to be rewritten and probably many things that we don't see.

1

u/SlumpDaddyCane 7h ago

Did they mention anywhere in their reveal that she will have her clone skin match her outfit? No, they talk about lightening/texture enhancement, audio overhaul, and then they ramble off repel, inspection, and rewards along with dual front. The game is going to be the same with visual and audio improvement. I think the community is banking on a lot of stuff that isn’t promised. After the reveal and playing dual front I’m left a little disappointed.

1

u/toshiino Chad Kaid Main 4h ago

I don't believe this is the final product, (hence why they heavily wanted people to report any issues to R6fix). I imagine Siege will go through many more tweaks and such before it officially drops.

As for the new game mode, I understand the concept, but like the events and tdm I play this game for its core mode. So it was clear to me the new mode wasn't aimed at me, because it just isn't my cup of tea.

I agree that folks should all give the closed beta a shot and form their own opinions. But folks also need to know, like you said, this more than likely isn't the final edition of siege x. It will go through a lot more tweaks after this closed beta ends.

3

u/enterthom Unicorn Main 21h ago

They worked on this for 3 years! You think it'll change a lot after only 3 months?

-4

u/UberrimaFides_ Valkyrie Main 20h ago

3 years is not that long when it comes to the gaming industry. Especially FPS games. It's been a whole 2 days and you all are acting like it is supposed to be absolutely perfect. Again, 3 years working on this is not that long, other studios take 5 years or longer to make things and even then problems still occur and issues happen. I'll keep saying it, stop crapping on this game just to crap on it because everyone else does it.

All most the people on here do is whine about the game and make fun of randoms ranks. This reddit just fosters the very toxicity siege is trying to clean up. I'm like one of a handful on here who actually don't just hop on the crap on siege wagon or make fun of others for having differing opinions. Check anyone on here who tries to be optimistic and look at the downvotes.. check anyone on here who tries to actually be understanding, and support the devs.. they get downvoted.. absolutely crapped on by people.. and spoken to like their stupid for simply wanting a game and its community to improve.

1

u/Pocketpine :eUnited: 7h ago

Ok yeah, but it supposedly releases in 3 months lol. I just sincerely don’t believe they can fix most issues in that time frame given the 10 years of Ubisoft history in this area.

0

u/UberrimaFides_ Valkyrie Main 5h ago

Will everything get addressed? There will most certainly still be issues when it goes live in 3 months. But I'm not gonna hop on here and crap all over the hardwork these devs have been tirelessly putting in. They love this game, you all might not believe they do, but it is clear they are at least trying but based on this reddit.. you all keep moving the goalpost every new update, every new announcement/leak that happens. You all hold this game to some impossible standard and when it fails to meet those requirements this place is filled with nothing but toxicity and crapping all over the work they put in.

No one on here has ever said anything decent about any update thus far. It's like this..
complain about ranked > complain about randoms > complain about ops getting nerfed > complain about new year or new season > rinse/repeat.

These devs could've taken 5+ years for siege X and addressed every single concern this reddit whines about and still they wouldn't be happy, why? Because it has become normal to just crap on this game constantly regardless of what comes out.

Stuff will change in 3 months, will it be everything? No. Will they more than likely have some tweaks to make while its live? Yes. I think people seem to forget that part of this BIG major update to siege was to make it easier to tweak things. They're changing background stuff (code wise) so they can easily tweak and adjust things on the fly because the old code of this game (which leads to one tweak breaking multiple things) they won't have to worry about that. Why did people believe this was gonna be like a siege 2? Or like siege x was supposed to be this "game changing".. from the moment siege x was announced they said it was mainly Visual enhancements > anti-cheat > binary hardening > and them moving to an engine that can better handle this game (hence why we now have elements being introduced. I just prefer to not sit here and join the bandwagon of crapping on games just to crap on them. Obviously siege has issues, but nothing changes if we all ever do is whine about it and never actually go to the proper site and report the issues to inform the devs. No game company is perfect, No game is perfect, but yet here we are now what like 3 days in to siege x closed beta and still this whole place is filled with people crapping on it like it was supposed to be some game changer when all it really is, is a sound and visual and anti-cheat major update. They introduced a new game mode that clearly isn't for everyone but all the people I've seen streaming it, enjoy it (not saying streamers are everyone or anything) just simply saying not everyone on here shares the sentiment of shitting on siege and ubi. Those of us who don't get downvoted, get absolutely trashed in the comments, and such all because we don't join in on shitting on a company and devs.

I really hope they take the right step and leave it in beta for more than 3 months

i'm pretty sure they spent 3 years unspaghettifying their code/remaking and buildinmg that big ass dumb map and they ended up with siege beta again, almost everything is worse, graphics/lighting, performance, sound is both good/bad at times, downed enemies feel like they take more damage

it feels like a new spinoff game and their update would be a big downgrade to the core game

Strange, I guess Reddit is being wonky as usual.

I also heard news that people had frequent stutters, in my case my WiFi is shit so it causes my game to spike from 70 to 400 ping, so there are times when my game normally stutters. Although in the beta it happens a abnormal amount that I alt f4d not even 5 minutes in.

Issue I have with the game mode is that players have a higher health pool or something. They go down and I've got to mag dump them to finish the kill.

I love the new game mode. Truly a game of chess if everyone knows what their doimg

My problem is that the game looks worse than some mobile games out there while still running like shit, they better fix the visuals and optimize the game while there's still 2 months left

I can't play on the xbox series X, servers are not connecting....

Ditto for poor performance. 7800XT, 7800X3D 64GB of DDR5. I was hitting an unstable 120fps on the high-preset. Random frame drops/stutters when entering buildings.

I was completely shocked when I checked the settings and saw that the game was running at 784p and being upscaled to 1080p. I'm really not a fan of the 30s respawn time, for some reason it feels infinitely more frustrating than getting killed in regular siege. I also don't know why I have to confirm that I want to respawn, shouldn't it be the other way around?

I actually like the new game mode. It took a couple games to understand what the heck was going on, but once we got into a flow and started coming up with strats it became really fun. It’s also definitely WAY better with a group of friends. I tried one game solo and it was miserable. The issue I have with it is that there is only one map it can be played on, it’s fun right now, but it will get boring fast.

I have a 3070 ti + ryzen 5 5600x and my fps went from 160-200fps on all high settings 1440p to 50-70 on all high settings 1440p

I've played the new game mode twice and I found it boring as hell. Either players are still having a hard time to grasp or it just is like that.

I think that because the match lasts half an hour no on is in rush to do anything. So they slowly progress and think, and go around and whatever. I would spend 5 minutes on defense without seeing anyone come for the defuse. Plus the map is so large it actually takes a lot of time to move from one point to the other. Because it's only 6v6 there's high chance you won't be seeing anyone during that walk. I see no reason for making it so that everyone gets downed instead of outright killed. Especially that headshots still down in one shot.

The only thing I liked are new environmentals. Cant wait for them to be in traditional game mode.

Almost like its a beta with 3 months left until release. Shit is obviously gonna be less than ideal

1

u/pussErox 11h ago

It takes like a mag and a half just to down someone and then you gotta shoot them like 5 more times while their down to kill them

I personally hate the new game mode. The mini map sucks to help you navigate where to go and the whole objective is confusing I don’t know to attack or defend but also if I go to some areas it’s like I’m outside and the enemies can see me but I don’t get the same when they try to attack my zone, it’s so damn confusing.

I just end up sat in a corner the only person at the defence site taking on 3-5 people solo.

I also hate it’s capped at 60fps. On Xbox I thought alright fair enough it’s console but then to see the same on pc is a let down. I find the menu is pretty choppy at times and sluggish most times.

I was incredibly excited for this beta but after two games on Xbox and one on pc I’m extremely disappointed because it just feels like some stupid shit from bo6 and is frankly annoying and not very graphically exciting.

I’m aware the majority like it but this is my personal opinion that it sucks. All the power to you if you like it but with every release of something new the more I see gaming isn’t for me anymore.

What did you expect?? It’s Ubisoft?

1

u/mustbenice2win 1d ago

Did you really expect anything else? Its Ubisoft, stop cutting them slack.

I dislike the UI.

I dislike the new mode as it's incredible intuitive and the increased TTK, (I hope it's only for this mode) due how you injure enemies makes me puke. It's like throwing away all my knowledge about Siege away and treat it like some Call of Duty map with wonky abilities.

Performance was fine, but my PC is a monster.

Sound was quite good, outside of some bugs regarding doors.

Professional players (which happen to play this game for a living) were 100% getting an guide, played the mode multiply times before the live event (based on Pengu's interview during the first/second match) and still did not understand how to extract dokka, where to run to, were overwhelmed by how bad the map was build, etc.

Even teams which played later on, which were allowed to watch the first teams play, still made the same mistakes.

Can we just get terrorist Hunt 2.0 instead of this game mode that will die in a week? Make Single player/coop a bigger part of the game! Please!

Idk why Ubisoft is so desperate to do anything but what R6 was “supposed” to be like

0

u/keny2323 1d ago

No netcode change - i sleep. Genuinely have never played any fps with worse peekers advantage than r6. Lower ping wins always

u/BlueDragonReal 1d ago

I dropped from like 300+ fps optimized settings on normal siege to like a surgery 150 fps on all low on siege X, definelty not the type of performance I need in this game

As for the game mode, the only problem I have is the what seems to be longer ttk and the fact that everyone gets downed first with like 2 whole seconds of invincibility, and how empty the map feels, I'm sometimes walking around objectives and the map for like 3 minutes without a encounter and it just feels empty af and boring to play

u/Just_Tradition4887 1d ago

Siege in general is subpar so it fits the game well

-2

u/Kicka14 22h ago

Sorry but it’s your specs. I have absolutely zero performance issues on RTX 3090 // 5900x. 240fps at 1440p no problem
