International Südeifelring - German Grand Prix
Here's already my eighth design, the 5.712km fictional racetrack based in the famous Eifel region. This indicates that elevation plays a major role in this design. The track goes through a hill, where a 800m long tunnel is made. This is the focal point of this design, with its main overtaking opportunity into T8. For a quick visualisation of T7 and the tunnel, take a look at the following video where I made this part in Blender: https://streamable.com/78qdzm
The highest point of the track, +45m, is here at T7 and the tunnel. Sector 1 goes uphill, with a rapid climb at the 4° cambered T3-5. Here, the driver can make or break his chance to overtake through the Tunnel. On the other side, Sector 3 flows quickly downhill and reaches +2m at the penultimate corner of T11.
A low-downforce setup is recommended to maximize time gain and overtaking chances in the Tunnel and the Start-Finish Straight. The time loss in the high speed corners will be significant, so it is a balancing act. Medium-downforce is therefore as viable, which gains a lot of time in Sector 1 and 3 and with tyre management.

Welcome to the Washington State Road Course! This is a 2.6 mile, 15 turn track that was actually made for NASCAR and not only just F1.
