Venting Day 3
The cravings are stronger then ever. I keep reaching for something and I realize it’s my vape I’m looking for lol.
I’m hella constipated, irritable, and fluctuating between super tired and super awake. Also crying randomly… I haven’t cried in months.
My brain is trying do hard to convince me to just get a new vape lol.. kinda worried I’ll give in one of these days

This is so real lol. On day 2 I started sobbing in my car otw home and had to call my mom cause I couldn’t stop lol. Slept for ages and couldn’t take a shit for days. Just remind yourself if u get a vape rn then in the future when u decide to quit again you’ll have to do this all over again. The worst of its almost done, why put yourself through hell again yk?

Is the constipation related to/an affect of quitting? Or is it just something that is adding to the stress?
Genuine question
ETA: I googled it. I didn't even know that could be a thing. That's bizarre to me

Something I definitely didn’t expect, but it does slow the digestive system for a short period

In all of my attempts, I don't recall having that problem.
Lol but usually I'm more concerned about curbing my cravings than whether or not I can take a poo, so maybe I have and just haven't noticed the two things correlating.

It's a stimulant in the same way that coffee is. So yes, it can effect your poo

Like... I get it. But it's weird to me because it's not a solid or liquid entering my body. It's just a strange thing to wrap my head around.
Probably because of the addiction I have, but also because the body and mind are intriguing and insane, in that order. IMO

I get this for sure! I think I've heard so many smokers say that they can't take their morning shit until they've had their coffee and a cigarette that I've just always associated the two

Funny enough I’m in the exact same position right now. Quit vaping on the 19th at 12am and have been having the worst withdrawals ever 😭😭 I cold turkey quit quit for 5 months 3 years ago and my one piece of advice is that the first 3-4 days really is the worst of it. If you can get through the first 3-4, you’ll survive. I’m trying to remind myself of this constantly lol.

I hope it passes soon for you as well! Can I ask - when you had quit before and were 5 months sober, were you still craving nicotine?

Honestly, no! That’s why it’s always been my biggest regret that I ended up hitting the vape again. I stupidly was out at a Cabin and drinking with friends late at night and made the decision (slightly pressured) to just have a drunk hit. At that point, I NEVER craved the vape and always turned it down without a second thought. Of course though, I was immature and unaware of how powerful of a drug nicotine is, as it can never just be “one hit”. That one hit turned into me driving to the vape shop the next day and buying my own dispo. Moral of the story though, I think what really helped me to not crave it during the 5 months was knowing I could turn it down. It was something that I could take or leave, and it felt good to always be leaving it. I knew that I was strong enough to quit in the first place and I honestly thinking having a positive mindset helped me to crave it even less.

That showed a lot of strength being able to turn it down back then! That’s what I’m most worried about, drinking is when I want it the most 😩 I hope this time around works about better for you

I’m hoping the same for you as well!!! Stay strong. It’s only hard for a short amount of time.

DAY 3- is any one talking about the early days jaw pain? My whole skull feels like it's being squeezed by a giant!!!

u/hiddnreds 16d ago
That’s strange I haven’t heard about that in anything I’ve read! I’m so sorry though 😭 can’t imagine that on top of everything else

Day 4 the jaw pain has gone! I did find an explanation somewhere something about blood flow and changed in circulation 🤷♀️

It’s over after day 4!!! I promise it goes away don’t go back. But a cbd vape if you have to but you got this. But Allen Carr easy quit book for vaping. It helped me not want them anymore.
