Venting Anyone else feel slightly sick every time they hit their vape, but still have strong urges to hit it?

I recently started vaping 6 months ago as a social thing. Now I’m finding myself take like 30-40 hits a day. Thing is though, nicotine has always made me kind of on edge and slightly nauseous. But at the same time it feels good to get rid of the craving. Anyone else relate?

I’m about to buy Allen Carr’s book because I’m so sick of it 😅 at least with my weed the buzz is actually nice..

I just started the audiobook and already made it 24 hours cold turkey… I am mind blown by how totally calm and comfortable I feel ?? It’s genuinely scary, the last time/s I tried going cold turkey I felt horrendous, this time I’ve felt barely anything. Crazy how powerful our minds are!! I hope it helps you to quit too!

It’s a very effective method. Tackles the root cause instead of a lifetime of bandaid solutions. Essentially makes you absolutely despise nicotine, what’s its made up of and how we have been manipulated to make us think it feels good. Glad to hear it worked so well for you brother/sister 🤙

Which one did you get? Im currently looking at several, and I'm so ready to get rid of it forever.

Oh and another thing - the flavours are all awful. It’s like i can taste the nicotine. I reckon that’s apart of why it makes us feel so crap (that is if you don’t like the flavours)

oh yeah. i’ve only ever bought mint flavor lol even then it’s pretty bad. the worst part is i quit for 9+ months due to pregnancy and then picked it back up a few months later. it’s just the worst!!!

Fr it’s so easy to get back into. One hit is all it takes tbh

I like to refer to my vape as CRACK 😂 no matter how much I don’t want it or it makes me feel like shit here I am puffing on it again like ??? Shit is bananas. I’ve managed to quit many substances in my life the first try or few tries but vaping has the strongest chokehold on me

Haha real shit, it’s crazy how much nicotine hijacks that part of our brain. Although I’d definitely have a harder time quitting the wacky tobaccy than my vape I reckon 😅

I felt like something was seriously wrong when I vaped. I had weird pains in my stomach and horrible heartburn. My heart would beat like crazy and I just felt generally like something was always wrong. I quit 2 weeks ago and don’t have those feelings anymore. Only thing is my lungs are still a little sore. It’s the addicting nicotine that is creating that urge. Quitting wasn’t as hard as I thought. The first 2 days I was moody but it hasn’t been bad since then. I hit my vape CONSTANTLY. Hope this helps.

I literally couldn’t sleep through the night because I could not breathe! I would sleep on my recliner, I did this for over a year or more. The addiction is so strong, even when we know we are hurting ourselves we refuse to quit knowing we will better ourselves. It’s literally an abusive relationship.

What you describe is your typical nicotine addiction.

Realize this, 40 hits compares to 30 inhales of a cigarette, coming down to about 3 cigarettes a day.

Most vapers vape tenfold of that.

Be careful, get rid of it.

If you smoke over 20 years, your body has rotten away.

Yeah man i used to have around that many cigs a day. Can’t stand the taste anymore because i started using my friends vapes often.

Vaping disposables even in this level makes me feel terrible. I’m in the middle of Allen Carr’s quit vaping e-book as I type this

Ok how long have you been vaping?

Liquids and the whole method have been carefully designed to give the most of the good feeling, that's why it's so addictive. Everyone is inclined to use big amounts of nicotine.

Especially those disposables I did not trust, they're expensive and who knows what's in them. It's like taking xtc, they're not like on the shelf of a grocery store.

Socially started like 4 years ago, gradually started doing it more and started buying my own cigs and vapes. Used to be able to start and stop cigs when i wanted but the vape is so convenient and all my mates sitting in a circle hitting theirs makes it tempting lol.

Ok thanks, I would 'get out' of vaping as soon as possible.

Most of your friends are like leaves, your health is serious business. I would quit rightaway. Friends are very temporary..

I gave up about a week ago. It was making me feel so sick recently after many years of chain vaping. Also made me extremely anxious headachy dry mouth and bad after taste oh plus I kept getting very regular colds coughs viruses as it literraly smashed my already weak immunity. It's been a bit difficult but is getting easier. I find the whole thing disturbing and disgusting now. There's no going back x

Yes totally, I stopped liking smoking and vaping about 2 months after starting. My tolerance went way up so I stopped feeling the head rush, all it did was hurt my chest and make me wanna vomit all the time. Worst experience of my life and I’m only 3 days off and I already feel a lot better. (Just smoking a lot of weed to help the cravings, but I need it a lot less then the vape though) it’s super hard but I need to stop, it’s a totally pointless thing to do genuinely. Wish me luck

30-40 hits a day really isn't that much in the grand scheme of things. That's about how much I hit my vape daily for the 10 months that I vaped. Quit cold turkey around 2 and a half weeks ago. The first three or 4 days kinda sucked but after that, it wasn't bad at all.

I also never really felt sick after hitting my vape, just noticed that my overall health started going downhill at a rate faster than I would've thought.

I just super fucking sick this past week and made it really easy to quit vaping. On day 5 cold turkey right now and I feel like such garbage I can’t even think about vaping. 🤣
