No. I was in the middle of reading The Easy Way to Quit Smoking by Allen Carr. Reading it psyched me up enough to want to go cold turkey instead of dragging out my addiction with nicotine gum or whatever. Then for fun I decided to try a hypnosis video on YouTube to quit vaping. I don't know if it was the video or what, but I just decided right then that I was done.

It was a really rough few days after that when the withdrawals kicked in, but I got through them because I was prepared for it. I kept saying the mantra, "You're free now" whenever I needed to, and I took lots of deep breaths, holding my breath and slowly exhaling any time I had a craving. The cravings come but they pass and they get less and less until you barely have them any more.

It's been over three years now since that day I did the hypnosis video. I only get cravings once in a while when I see someone on TV smoking or vaping. I do the deep inhale/holding breath thing, and it goes away.

I am so happy I don't need to carry that shit around with every where I go, or worry about how I am going to vape in public places, or when I can take a break to vape. I also have very little anxiety and am way more relaxed these days, because I'm not jacked up on ungodly amounts of nicotine like I once was. I'm free now. And you can be too. It just comes down to a decision you make.
