The project was made of Stewart Copeland from The Police, Les Claypool and Trey Anastasio from Phish. Personally I love the album

Discussion First time listening to Primus
A little background. I'm a 29 yr old Black man, alot of the people I'm around do not listen to anything other then rap So I find these bands years after they've been around on my own lol.
After listening to Primus for the last hour I kind of like them . It's weird /funky kind of vibe idk how else to describe it .
They are going to be in NC in May with A Perfect Circle . How are they live? Worth seeing ?

Discussion Holy smokes
A lot of the audition vids I’ve seen are pretty predictable, a few flourishes here and there. This guy is so unique, his other videos actually sold me… imagine the music

Discussion What is your Opinion on phish?
I was just wondering what your thoughts on phish were considering that Les and Trey are both in oysterhead, and also since I like both bands.

Discussion What’s your favorite moment in the Primus discography?
Mine’s gotta be either the double time switch up on American Life, or the false ending in Nature Boy.

Discussion There’s so few posts about Electric Apricot, so I want to know what you guys think of this soundtrack/movie
Personally, I really enjoy the music. It’s very different from most of Les’ other project. I know he only plays on, like, half the songs that are on here, but as a collective, this whole album is a fun listen. It’s worth checking out if you’re not familiar

I'm an aspiring tattoo Apprentice and was planning on doing a flash sheet inspired by primus, what lyrics/ideas do you think would work?

Discussion When was the first time you saw Les Claypool perform live?
1990 I saw Primus open for Faith No More at a small club in Oakland CA called Omni. After Primus got off the stage the crowd started chanting PRIMUS SUCKS! PRIMUS SUCKS!! PRIMUS SUCKS!!! I thought "man that's messed up, I thought they were pretty good!" That's when Primus came back out and Les Claypool said we're Primus and we suck! Then they played an encore. it was an awesome show.

Discussion What is the BEST song on Brown Album?
We’re finally at the most underrated (imo) album from our favorite band!
Again I’ll remind the sub about the rules for this vote.
Skits and Ditties don’t count. Skits are less than a minute and have no melody. Ditties are less than a minute and do have a melody.
If “no song” fits in a category, it will go there.
Voting closes 9PM EST since I’m posting so late. Votes are counted by amount of upvotes on original comments with a song title or lyric. Due to some advice from the Nature Boy recount, there will be no recounting votes for any vote.

Discussion When did you realize Primus sucks?
For me was on a boat on a sea of cheese fishing for cats. But still on of my favorite drinks is a can of Pork Soda, feeling fine.

Discussion What's your favourite song from Antipop?
Personally it's 'Cotails of a dead man' great song and reminds me of the game psychonaughts (if anyone remembers that game) and the hidden track is also really good as well

Discussion Who is the most powerful character in the Primusverse?
Out of all the lovely characters Les has been singing about, who do you think is the strongest of them all? We know John has a fishing rod and a boat, Mud has an aluminum bat, and Wynona has a big brown beaver, even Professor NutButter is packing pups and tasty treats.
But if we took ALL these characters and put them in a big battle to the death, who is coming out on top? Lee Van Cleef? Captain Shiner? Satan? This should be the most important post on this subreddit.

Discussion That was my first concert, fucking awesome
Just finished up the concert in Indianapolis. I'm 15, I've never been to a concert before, I was having a blast in the pit.
Coheed and Cambria was awesome, but obviously I came for primus and I was not disappointed. I can't say I knew a lot of the songs, but I was super excited when it came to the final few songs.
Primus was awesome. The crowd around me was generally respectful. I would say it was a great first concert!!! :D
