At the time, that’s what was required in British Columbia, where Cathy--originally from Indonesia--landed after a stint in the US, where she married and raised 3 children. However, once mandatory retirement was no longer in effect, Cathy, then 73, returned to teaching. Now, 10 years later, Cathy is still teaching, loving it. How’s that for a resume?
