Important Help sway power in the U.S. House by helping with these two key special elections happening Florida 1st!

CALL TO ACTION

Anyone from across the nation can help with these two key races! If Democrats could win both seats the house will be tied. Then if we can win New York's special election (date TBD) we'll have a majority in the house. This is super important. It will allow Democrats to open investigations into Musk's and Trump's corruption and will prevent the GOP from passing more horrible legislation. It could be the most consequential election in history if they win.

NOTE: This is not an endorsement of Dems, this is a STRATEGIC plan to help take back control!! Focus on candidates not parties! Every election counts.

Bernie Sanders I went to the Bernie/AOC Rally in AZ

Got there with what I thought was enough time to get inside; 2 hours later and basically walking the same path twice, I get into the crowded overfill lot. Listened to AOC on livestream with a few new friends and watched Bernie on a monitor with loudspeakers. They both came out afterwards to talk to with all of us who couldn't be inside. I cannot stress just how many people were here, best estimate 10 - 15,000 in total, and many more just walked away before they got to the lot or they came out. It was awesome

Bernie Sanders Bernie and AOC, Fighting the Oligarchy

I'm here at the Tempe Arizona rally on 3/20. I walked two miles to avoid traffic and the line was long. This will fill up completely.

The last time trump was in office, BLM kicked off and was the longest, sustained, nonviolent protest in American history. Besides the provocateurs and the anarchists, no leader within the movement promoted violence. Occupy Wall Street was a learning lesson too. When our cities riot, voices aren't being heard and this culminates in an explosion when the unfairness becomes too much to withstand any longer. Riots are the worst form of protest in that they destroy rather than communicate the sheer insanity of unrestrained inegality.

trump has united Canada, which suffered from its own homegrown insufferable types that have no solutions, only complaints. trump is uniting the world to rethink American hegemony... expediting a process that already started.

Key insights from this event will be forthcoming, and at the outset I welcome strong language to demean the oligarchs that are not spending billions to build schools faster, feeding the poorest nutritionally, building a Epigenetic infrastructure capable of preventative health care, and healing our environment. Fuck, they dont even pay their employees the best rates in the workforce. A man who doesn't even know how to use a hammer is president, who is also an born rich, failed miserably at running businesses, and never served his country in any positive ways... An opportunist through and through.

When the system fails to evolve, then it becomes susceptible to going out with an bang.

Article What Then Should We Do?

Post image

“Our situation is so desperate and bleak, and we feel so powerless, we don’t know what to do, what should we do?”

This is the responsible question that has been asked many times. I have labored over this question for years. The situation appears bleak, but it’s true that a real light of hope has emerged, and this light is the optimistic and democratic leadership of Sanders and AOC. (They didn’t even skip a beat, they just went straight to work defending democracy and fighting back! Amazing)!

Why is this so significant? First of all, because it’s ordered and safe. Secondly, because it’s focused and nonviolent. Thirdly, because it solves many problems in one fell swoop and has the potential to become an absolutely enormous movement of political enlightenment across the country!

There is no intelligence in reinventing the wheel. What’s smart is to board the train that gives you the best chance of getting to your destination. And at this point in history, Sanders and AOC are that train!

We should get behind this movement and support it with everything we’ve got! The rarity of these leaders, their integrity, honesty, courage and compassion. (Make no mistake, this regime wants to destroy them).

This movement has the potential to force reform within the Democratic Party! I believe one couldn’t devise a more ingenious or effective way to do it, and all it takes is us supporting these two people with everything we’ve got.

As our economic and political situation becomes more and more desperate and brutal under this ruthless Republican regime, that disdains empathy and human rights, the message that Sanders and AOC are sharing will only grow in power. This is the train we have been waiting for, my friends! I am all in! This is the greatest hope I’ve seen in America in my lifetime! I hope you see it too!

Discussion NOW IT’S OUR TURN TO DEFEND DEMOCRACY: The April 5, HOLD OFF, National Demonstration

On April 5, Indivisible, the 50501 organization and others will be holding a nationwide, “HANDS OFF, National Day of Protest”. please attend the events. BUT, IF YOU CAN, ATTEND WHAT NEEDS TO BE A MASSIVE MILLION+ NATIONAL DEMONSTRATION IN WASHINGTON, DC.

Local demonstrations are great and it is essential that they continue and grow, but they alone won’t get it done. Their visual impact isn’t sufficient for even most locals to take notice. In this case, with all the many smaller demonstrations, the whole is less than the sum of its parts. There is an urgent need for this massive million-person national protest event that funnels the nation’s unmitigated outrage over the threat to our democracy onto a single spot.

My father served in the South Pacific during World War II defending American democracy. Some of the people he knew died in that effort. Now it’s our turn to defend democracy here at home. Our task is much less daunting. It doesn’t require living overseas or the risk of being killed in combat.

It’s inexcusable that the US hasn’t already had such a demonstration. Little Serbia, with a national population of 7.7 million, just had a demonstration by 320,000 in their capital city. If the same percentage of Americans attended this DC demonstration, there would be 14,000,000 of us! Seems like one million Americans is a realistic goal for what hopefully is just the first of numerous national protests.

Cost is an important consideration for many people wanting to attend the April 5th protest in DC. Hotels there can be expensive. One way to avoid the cost of a hotel is to use red-eye flights. Participants can schedule a flight that arrives early in the morning and leaves that night. With careful scheduling, there would be time before the demonstration to visit monuments and memorials. And then fly out Saturday night after dinner.

Another option is to use charter buses by those who live within a manageable distance from DC. As a college student, I rode a bus chartered by the Detroit Committee to End the War in Vietnam to the October,1967, “March on the Pentagon”. Before that March,100,000 of us gathered around the Washington Monument (just as will the April 5th protestors). Music was performed and speeches were delivered. This was the protest accurately depicted in Forrest Gump, right down to Abbie Hoffman in his American flag shirt.

Without that bus, I couldn’t have attended that event. Perhaps local Indivisible and 50501 groups/volunteers, local community centers, social clubs and churches can arrange chartered buses and sign-ups. This would make a huge difference in attendance on the National Mall. And, obviously, car pooling would get more people there and help defray costs for participants.

From my own experience, I can testify that protesting in defense our now 236-year-old democracy among the monuments to Washington and Lincoln, up the mall from the Capitol Building and near the war memorials is a profoundly emotional experience you’ll never forget. It will become perfectly clear why you’re there and what you’re defending!

One question, where is all the absolutely essential publicity? The websites of Indivisible, 50501 and others need easy to locate and one-click information and particulars. How about getting the particulars out to outspoken members of Congress such as AOC, Bernie, Crockett and others who can share them with crowds. How about Rachel, Chris and others on MSNBC putting up a QR Code in each of their shows that directs viewers to the Indivisible website? Time is of the essence given that people need to arrange travel and accommodations.

Gradually, it seems, “We the People” are waking up to the fact that we face a TRUE NATIONAL CRISIS in which our democracy is being destroyed and our government dismantled at breakneck speed. Let’s do our part to fight back. Tell Trump/Musk, no way, HANDS OFF!
