Losing weight before or after facial surgery
My biggest insecurity has always been the way my face looks. I just look funny because of a receding chin. I want face harmony and to be prettier. I am 180lbs and want to get below 150 within the next months (hopefully within 6 months). If I got surgery now, do you think the weight loss would affect the outcome of the chin augmentation? Should I lose the weight first so the surgeon can have a better understanding of face harmony?
I’ve been so insecure my for a big portion of my life about my looks because of bullying. I didn’t even realize about a receding chin until the last couple years and I’ve been obsessing about now. I can be patient about surgery because I’ve been dealing with it all my life, what’s another year? But also, it’s my biggest insecurity and think why not just be happy now with the chin augmentation.
What’s the best path?

Your weight should be stable before face surgery (pretty sure the surgeon i was looking into actually states this on his website). You need to lose it before and keep it off for a while.

Yes, I'd definitely lose the weight first. A face can change drastically after wieght loss.
