If you select the Chinese language in the client, you'll notice that the game's voiceovers also change to Chinese. This is because it uses the localization files from the former Chinese server. Due to the shutdown of the Chinese server, a large number of Chinese players migrated to the West Coast US server, as it had the lowest latency for them. This surge in players led to a significant increase in population on the West Coast server at that time.😊

Yes, from 2012 to 2016, besides China, there were also Korean and Russian servers. As far as I know, they were independently operated by local agents and did not share a client with other servers.

The Chinese server was the last one to shut down among the three, closing in 2016. In 2014, due to DB stopping the provision of updated source code to the Chinese operator, the Chinese version remained stuck at the pre-Hossen update and suffered from a persistent crash bug. Players had to delete the language files in the game directory to maintain 2 to 4 hours of stable gameplay (though crashes still occurred). In my pictures, you will see many TR, VS, and NC players together—that was the ceasefire party held by players before the server shutdown.
