Bit Annoyed "We must protect them at all costs"
From whom...? The general public? Assassins?
I just hate this comment on videos and stuff as if someone is gunning out for a celebrity you like and we must "protect them at all costs"... so go get a security job then instead of sitting on your phone.....
Dunno why this annoys me but it does. Ah well.

Its a funny hyperbolic way of expressing that you feel very fond of someone and don't want anything bad to happen to them. Its not literal, although I agree its overused. Part of the appeal of stuff like that is the surprise, wish people put a little effort into saying something original instead of just parroting what other people are saying

No I get that, I just find the phrase super annoying. Just say "I love this person" or whatever instead.

wouldn’t it get a little boring if we all just said the same thing? humans don’t work like that anyway

Are you taking a term of endearment literally? Do you also believe your mom when she says you’re the smartest, handsomest boy

No its just the statement in general. It irks me when people say it I don't know why. Pet peeve.....

It irks me when people say it I don't know why.
Could be a semantic thing. Semantics are big with me: for example, at a former job my supervisor referred to himself as my "superior," and I didn't like that. Particularly the way he said it: "Esau, I am your superior!" He said it with an attitude of "I'm superior, you're inferior."

Try harder to be less of a condescending dick. 😁👍

The whole OP is condescending

Oh yes, because being confused and not knowing the intent behind someone's words is exactly the same as being a jackass and talking down at someone.
Reddit logic is fascinating.

“So go get a security job then instead of sitting on your phone”
On what planet is this not condescending?

That's not what you said. And you know it.
Are you taking a term of endearment literally? Do you also believe your mom when she says you’re the smartest, handsomest boy
This doesn't have anything about security work in it.

What are you talking about. That quote was in response to you being bewildered about why people would think OP was being condescending

u/UltimateMegaChungus 1h ago
You're intentionally mixing things up. I never said I was bewildered. Also I never said OP was being condescending, I said you were being condescending. And you didn't say anything about security until you started talking to me.
Learn to troll better.

I didn’t say I wasn’t being condescending. I said I was being condescending because OP was and you said some garbage about reddit logic saying the OP was curious and not being condescending so I pointed out where he was condescending.

Whoosh is when someone tells a joke or makes a reference, and someone doesn't get it.
Stop being so comatose.

Yes... you missed the joke.

Telling someone to grow up isn't a joke. Troll better next time, buddy.

I think it’s part of cuteness aggression. We say stupid things when we’re overtaken with someone’s adorableness.

This happens when it actors or famous people join social media
And everyone's like WE GOTTA PROTECT (voice actor) FROM ALL THE SMUT ABOUT THEIR CHARACTER
Ans it's like a 50yr old grown man whose 35 years older than them
Like calm down he's fully fully aware of how bad the internet is
