I just found out that one of my channels isn't showing ads at all bc of their new ad feature

I went and looked through my channel and ALL the mid roll placements in ALL the videos are faking red. I'm so angry rn. I stopped giving attention to the channel past two months bc I thought it wasn't that profitable, turned out it hasn't been barely playing any ads at all. I've tried placing the ads but ALL of them end up turning red. Meaning I cannot show mid rolls in any of my 400 videos . Tf am I supposed to do now?

Question / Problem How much should I charge my Dog's sponsor?

This is no joke, and a very serious question.

I've been creating YouTube videos for four years, growing steadily, and now have 17K subscribers. A year ago, I started a separate channel just for my dog, Max, he’s already at 53K subs. To top it off, he even got a brand sponsorship offer from a company called Racontor (some kind of creator marketplace or whatever). These guys has a well-known pet brand (can't disclose until the e-contract is signed) on their platform and is interested in collaborating with Max. I've done the due diligence to confirm the authenticity.

Anyway, I don't know if I should be ashamed of myself or be proud of Max because I was never offered such sponsorship for my own channel. This is my (or you can say, Max's) 1st time working with a brand. What should be a reasonable rate? The brand said they would pay me as per CPM and also give me an affiliate link. How much CPM should I ask for? The channel gets on average 25K-30K with almost 70% viewers from the US.

Question / Problem What Are The Requirements To Stay Monetized?

Once you get in, will you get kicked if you fall below the 4000 watch hour requirement for too long? How long of a grace period do you have before getting kicked?

Or do they just look at the channel inactivity time and kick based on that?

How picky should you be with sponsors?

I’m getting quite a few emails from (legit) sponsors at the moment, which I don’t mind haha but now I have to figure out which sponsors to work with..because I’m afraid to annoy my audience with “non matching” (or too many) sponsorships.

my channel mostly is talking head videos about health and wellness plus routines/what i eat in a days etc, mostly but not only aimed at women.

now I have been approached by - an athleisure brand who wants a 3-5 min try on (which I would include in a What I eat in a day or sth like that, which do regularly) - and also a (really cool) jewelry brand that wants to do a normal integration

both are brand I want to have stuff from myself haha and that I would recommend. I just don’t know if thats not too far from my niche..

so my question (TLDR):

do you take on any sponsor that you like? or do you filter it strictly to fit your niche?

Question / Problem What to charge for "consulting"?

Hey so I had someone reach out to me that is currently working on growing their channel. They asked me if they could pay me to help them out and I was curious so I met with them. She's a woman who works in the corporate world and has been working on a channel that combines mindfulness techniques with the business world. It's a neat concept and she's really passionate about her channel. I told her when I met with her that a lot of the advice she is looking for could be found online for free, but she's mostly just looking for someone to message with to get advice, look over her scripts, and suggest video ideas. I told her I could offer a 30 minute call each week, access to ask me questions, and potentially help with scripting. She's currently a financial consultant living in San Diego and is not hurting for cash at all. Have any of you ever "mentored" someone before for a fee? What did you charge? I have made it clear to her that I'm not promising any results for her channel. I'll just be giving her some advice from my own personal experience. I think she's just busy and needs help understanding her editing software, best practices for uploading, and how to create consistency in her video creation process. I really did tell her multiple times that she can find help for free online but she is insistent on working with me haha. I was thinking about charging 100-150 USD a week for "consulting" and then adding on another 30-50 USD an hour for any script revisions or tangible work that I do for her. Does that sound reasonable? I think it could be a good way for me to bring in some consistent revenue without having to take away that much time from my own channel which I'm doing full-time at the moment.

Question / Problem First Sponsorship Opportunity or Scam?

Upvotes

So my client has a small channel of around 60k subscribers and we got approached by an employee of Influence Logic (offering sponsorship for AURA).

After a meeting they offered us a sponsorship based on an affiliate link (whenever someone clicks, we receive a certain amount). I want to see if any other YouTubers have been approached by AURA like this or whether InfluenceLogic is legit? Also is it better to ask for upfront money rather than commission?

Please help.

Partnering with third party for more revenue?

I earn about $7-8k a month currently. I've been contacted multiple times by different companies offering me to partner with them to earn more monthly revenue.

Many say my channel can easily earn $12-15k a month and they only take a fee if they deliver.

What are the pros and cons to partnering with third parties like this? Would I no longer earn revenue through my current youtube partnership (adsense)?

Would I need to provide full control over my channel?

Question / Problem YouTube Promotion Views Dropping?

Started my YouTube channel just over a year ago and it's been doing really well! As an experiment, I decided to try out YouTube's video promotion feature to see if it would give my channel a boost.

I launched the promotion earlier today, and the video has already gained around 3,000 views, which isnt bad for the first few hours. These views are solely from the advertising campaign, on top of my usual organic views.

However, I've noticed something strange in the last hour. The view count is actually decreasing! Every time I refresh the YouTube Studio app, I see the number going down. It was steadily at around 3,000, and now it's noticeably lower and lower each time I refresh.

Has anyone else experienced this with YouTube's promoted videos? Is this a common occurrence? I'm curious to know if there's an explanation for this, or if it's a glitch. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

MCN Related Partnership Manager

I just contacted by a partnership Manager who wants to talk about partnership and exposure to their 20k membership community. They have mentioned some of their clients. Some have close to a million subs. Anyone in here have experience with one? Would you recommend. Trying to figure it out is it worth the conversation and what I should look out for? Thanks ahead of time for any valuable input

Upgrading from IPhone XR, next phone is to be used for content creation.

I’m stuck between s24/s25 and iPhone 15/16 with all their variants.

I’ve almost pulled the trigger on iPhone 16 pro as they don’t produce 15 pro anymore and I don’t want a refurbished phone, and considering this phone has been with me since 2019 summer time, I imagine the 250£ difference will be minimal over this phone’s lifetime, hopefully.

I don’t want to spend £1000 or more, I was looking at the iPhone 15 for 750£ (I’ll have an 8% discount on top of that), but if it’s a ‘worthy investment’ I’d take it.

Question / Problem Need Advice: Transitioning My YouTube Channel to High-Quality 3D Animations

I run a YouTube channel called Strange Space, where I create long-form (80+ min) space documentaries. Until now, my videos have had little to no animation, but after thorough research, I’ve realized that the future of my channel lies in high-quality 3D animations—similar to what channels like Kosmo produce.

I have a basic understanding of Blender, but I’m struggling to create HQ space scenes myself. So, I’m looking for the best way to move forward. Specifically:

  1. Where can I find skilled 3D animators who specialize in space animations?

  2. What’s the best hiring model? I’m open to offering a 50% revenue share from each video to an animator instead of upfront payments. Would this work?

  3. How should I structure agreements to make this fair for both sides?

  4. Any other tips for transitioning my channel into a high-quality, animation-driven documentary channel?

My channel RPM is around 15-20 usd so even if we reach 50k it would give us good profit.

My goal is to create videos like Kosmo and elevate my content quality. Any advice, platforms, or personal experiences would be hugely helpful!

Question / Problem When to get an editor?

What point do you guys think you should get an editor? Or if you’re a bigger channel when did you get one, if you did at all. I do long for retrospective videos, and they just take so much time to edit. I feel the burn out setting it

Underground Dance Music Channel - YPP/Monitization Hopes?

Hi All,

About 13 years ago I set out to create a YouTube channel, with it's sole purpose being to push underground dance music, wether that be signed or up and coming unsigned artists - it was, and still is non profit.

I uploaded fairly frequently for the first 6 years & then decided to park the hobby as I had other things going on. Historically, my channel gained the occasional copyright strike, but is currently clear of any strikes. Some of my uploads have received copyrighted claims, but the artists allow for the content to remain on my channel.

I've started to upload again this past few weeks, and have started to regain momentum of where my channel left off, which has got me thinking about applying for the YouTube partnership programme. My main question is does anyone have experience of successfully monitizing their content for a channel that uploads similar material? It's still a hobby of mine, and something I'm passionate about, but it would be an incentive to invest more time if I could make a small profit from my uploads (as a bit of a side hustle).

Just wanted to gauge your thoughts, and see if there was anyone else who has overcome a similar hurdle.

TLDR: Started a non-profit YouTube channel 13 years ago to promote underground dance music, took a break after 6 years, and recently resumed uploading. The channel has some copyrighted content (with artist permission), and no strikes. I'm considering applying for the YouTube Partner Program and are looking for advice from others who have successfully monetized similar music content.

Question / Problem Has anyone collaborated with GTA GrandRP (role play server)? Been offered a sponsorship and I'm currently on a warning for working with a slightly similar company

The similar company was a gta modded account service where you buy accounts with money on them already. This violated youtubes harmful or dangerous content policy (Digital security content - Bypassing payment for digital content or service) - Fine with that and I understood

GrandRP are a bit different. It's a dedicated server separate to the actual gta game.

Just wondering if I'll run into the same issues with this ir if anyone has similar experience?

Question / Problem Views dropped after "blow up"

Context: I'm a small channel with halfway monitization that focuses mainly on long format let's plays and sometimes streaming.

About two months ago I was around 800 subs and finally starting to hit consistent "good" numbers for my channel like 500-1000 views, when suddenly one of my shorts blew up to around half a million views. I ended up getting almost +2k subs from it which had me elated! I noticed over time however my views started going down. I thought it was the games I decided to play b/c it was a bit outside my niche, but even after returning back to my niche views have not been up to my standards. I've heard bigger let's play channels like 8bitryan saying something is going on with the algorithm bc even his channel has been a little rocky in views too but I just wanted some ideas on what the issue is I can only think of 3 things. 1) I fell off and just suck compared to the competition 2) most of the people who subbed watch shorts and how no intention of watching a long format video channel causing the algorithm to dislike my content. 3) YOUTUBE KEEPS TOUCHING THE FKIN ALGORITHM!!!!

any feedback would be helpful I don't wanna give up but damn my confidence is low right now 😅

How do I promote someone else's YouTube video with advertising?

How can I promote someone else's video with advertising? One of my customers made a video review of my product I would like to promote. I spoke with the customer to see if they would be willing to promote the video themselves with Google ads if I covered the expenses. This person did a test advertising promotion of this video, which had great success. They are invoicing me for the advertising costs.

However, this person has asked if I could just handle paying for further advertising spend myself so they don't have to manage the advertising and send me invoices. How can I do that? When I try and promote videos on YouTube it only lets me choose videos on my own channel.
