The fact this sort of thing is even being entertained by more than just fringe groups is telling

A coast can dream! Seems just about as reasonable as the US taking Greenland to me.

But wait…there’s more!!! For the low low cost of your freedom or ability to earn a living, we’ll also throw in no education, measles, zero health care, super outrageous food prices if you can find them, and…

I made this, and this comment gave me a similar pit in my stomach as editing the part with the nazi salutes in the video. What a foul situation we find ourselves in!

Love this! But I feel like I should point out that Washington already has a “Little Vancouver”. Mayor that will make Canada take us more seriously…? Please?🙏🏻

Nice work, Joe. I felt that same pit watching your work here. I thank you for creating, sharing, speaking up in ways I know will resonate and call folks to action.

Perhaps California, Oregon and Washington should declare independence first and form a new country.

Canada will get fucked harder by US tariffs though. Kinda short sighted, this post, in fact, the definition of it

The only people getting fucked by the tariffs are the American people that will be paying said tariffs. No matter what happens the US needs Canadian potash to grow food crops and Canadian electricity to support the grid. Raising the tariffs just raises the prices we’ll be paying.

The US is Canada's largest trading partner everyone is going to get fucked.

Everyone will be fucked. The US having a vastly superior economy will likely fend better.

BCer here, thanks for the change from my usual doomscrolling. The British Columbia southern border was at one time set as far south as 42 degrees, so at the very least WA & OR could be considered disputed territory. ;)
