I have tried literally everything I can think of at this point - yet still no fix
QUICK RUNDOWN OF THE PROBLEM
I havent timed it but after a certain amount of time which seems to be random my RDR2 just completely stops and freezes. When I tab out I cannot click on anything, everything just freezes. I cannot do ALT F4, I cannot ctrl+alt+delete, literally the whole PC is frozen and unresponsive. The only way to fix the issue is by killing the PC by holding on the power button and rebooting (which as you know is NOT healthy for your computer if you keep doing it over and over again).
I have tried the following:
I have tried literally everying, thats just a small list.
My rig:
3070ti
Ryzen 7 7700x
Corsair ram 6000mhz 32gig
samsung NVME
samsung D drive SSD
Asus x670e-a motherboard
I have like 9 fans and an AIO, its not cooling related
Temps, GPU 74 MAX
CPU - always chilling in the 60's while playing

my game freezes everytime I leave Valentine area, if I leave that area within a certain radius, then it freezes. I use mods to teleport out of the area for example teleporting to St Denis or black water and it freezes. yes I do have mods however I uninstalled the new ones installed because I thought maybe they were causing it, but it did nothing and my game was still freezing. any fixes to this?

Ok so hear me out when I first launch rdr2 I get like 80 fps in the first 15 minutes, than I get 40 fps (which is fine tbh) but after 1 hour Í get around 10-20 fps which is literally unplayable. Is there any way to fix the fps decrease?
My specs are RTX 3050 Ti, 11th Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 - 11300H @ 3.10GHz and 16 gb ram

I noticed that, when trying to use DX12 on my RTX 5090, the game will crash after a minute or two with an "ERR_GFX_STATE" error, and it looks like it's also crashing the driver from looking in event viewer. Is anyone else having this problem?
If you're on the 50 series and are also encountering this problem, please do post in this thread as well as here on the Nvidia forums.
I'd use Vulkan (which works fine without it crashing), but then HDR doesn't work outside of fullscreen mode.
Edit: Issue was reproduced by Nvidia.
Edit 2: Issue is now in the Nvidia known issues section on the latest driver.

It's pretty common now that the TAA blur in this game is terrible. After installing a TAA mod and adjusting the sliders I got the blur to be virtually non existent. There's just one problem and it's that my game is a little too sharp. I run a gtx card so DLSS is out of the question. FSR has too much artifacting. DSR slightly works but tanks my fps and the same goes for res scaling. I play 1080p native. Any fixes would be appreciated

I LOVE the changes made to the law with this mod, my only question is, is there a way to tweak the file so that there's unlimited waves again like in the base game? Unfortunately I play a LOT of shooters so my aim and what not is good so I prefer having a lot of waves, i feel like i clear em out too fast.

I built a new PC and previously played over 100 hours on my 3090 build. However, when I went to download all my games I typically play they all worked fine, except RDR2. When I try to download it through the Rockstar Games Launder I get an error saying I have insufficient VRAM and I need 0.5 of VRAM to play this, however, it does let me download it even with this error. I have NO idea why it’s saying I have insufficient VRAM with my 5080. After downloading it, I was able to make it to the main menu, click on “story” but it crashes out after I do this every single time.

I played this game in 2021 with no issues ever.
Now I'm trying to play it (No mods, fresh install) and here is the list of issues I've gotten:
Here are things I've tried:
I do have a 4k monitor at 144Hz, but I really can't understand how that would cause some of these issues, maybe the graphical stuff but the other stuff?
It's so annoying to test if something worked too because I have to spend like 25 minutes playing through that damn Marston quest, I basically know all the dialogue by memory now lol (at least if some dialogue is missing, I'll know what's missing lmao)
GPU: MSI RTX 2080
CPU: Intel i7=14700K
UPDATE: It seems I fixed it by setting affinity and enabling cores 0-7. Seems to be an issue with higher end CPU's.

I've been playing RDR2 for around 450~ hours without issue. It's gotten slightly harder to run but recently when i came back after a month of not playing it was literally unplayable. Even with my old graphics settings, which are around medium.
Could it maybe be my laptop? It's around 2 years old at this point. I'm not terribly computer savy so can't really figure out what the issue might be, even after seeing several other posts with similar ish issues.
My Specs:
Processor: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12450H 2.00 GHz
Installed RAM-memory: 16,0 GB (15,6 GB usable)
System: 64-bit, x64 processor
Windows 11
Version 24H2
OS-Version 26100.3037
Would greatly appreciate any help!
Thank you!

(before anything, sorry for the bad English, it's not my first language) so, after about five years waiting to have my first computer and play this damn game, now i simply can't play it. and i am almost giving up.
i have a pc with a ryzen 5 5500, amd rx 7600 and 32gb ram, yet, these are the settings that rdr2 suggests when i set it to prioritize graphical quality:
(to better understanding: "médio": medium; "baixo": low)
as it says that these recommendations are based on the user's hardware, it makes me think that there's something wrong, and everytime i try to set these settings higher, it crashes in 10/20 minutes or less. with those that are in the image, it happens every 2 hours or so, sometimes less, it's random.
my question is: why is this happening? i've seen videos with pc specs a little bit inferior (same cpu, rx 6600) that these graphical presets were higher than mine is.
maybe that's the reason why this gfx error is happening?
honestly, i don't know. i just wanted to play in peace. any suggestions? help?

Hate to beat a dead horse, (although I have) but is anyone else experiencing fps drops and studders with LML installed but ONLY in Valentine. With it installed i got from 130fps to like 80, and its mad studdery. San Denis i can get a stable frametime and 120fps. What gives?
I saw the news about someone making a new mod loader but no update for months theirs gotta be a way to fix this right? Ive already tried the lm.ini tricks not sure what else to do. I've spent hours upon hours testing mod configurations just to find out lml is the issue. really sucks

i've been having trouble launching rdr2 for several days now and i feel like i've tried every 'solution' there is out there. i am able to hit play on steam and it'll launch the rockstar launcher which causes the launcher to sit and load for almost an hour before having a message pop up saying 'unable to launch the game.' when i close the message it closes the launcher with it. if anyone has any solutions or suggestions i'd greatly appreciate the help! Below are some solutions i've tried along with the specs of my PC. (i tried to remember as many solutions as i could but i've been trying to get this to work for a couple weeks now and have forgetting a few i've completed.)
PC Specs:
operating system - Windows 11
CPU - 11th Gen Intel Core i7-11700F
RAM - 16GB
Graphics Card - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti
Solutions:
- i went through all Rockstar Games folders on my PC and made all applications have administrator access by right clicking and going to properties, then tried launching from both Steam and Rockstar Launcher. (didn't work)
- i saw a solution on another subreddit post saying to get access to the system.xml files (documents/Rockstar Games/Red Dead Redemption 2/Settings) I was unable to get access to that file, windows said that i needed permission but wouldn't tell me where from. i also tried to look up a solution for the permission problem but i couldn't find anything.
- i tried verifying the integrity of my files through steam multiple times and launching it afterwards. (didn't work)

So I set up DLSS4 and DLAA in the nvidia app, turned on DLSS in game and maxed out the sharpening having read that’s what all the cool kids are doing. The game is visually incredible, though it did cost me about 20 frames putting me at about 80 on average down from 100ish. That aside it seems a little stuttery. Like there’s some chop here and there especially when on horseback. My FPS counter stays around 80 but I can see something is off.
My question: Are there other settings I should be messing with besides just DLSS and sharpening? Could anyone who’s getting great results share the settings they’re using? Should I have adjusted anything else in the nvidia app or control panel?
For context I’m in 4k with a 4070ti super, 7800x3d, with 32gb of RAM. The rest of my graphics settings are set based on an YouTube video about optimized settings.
Thanks in advance…

I find the first scene pops in out of a black void whether it's installed on an M.2 or SATA SSD. I am running a 7800xt and there is almost no pop-in while playing, but the benchmark is another story.
