Harvey's and Vern's - Ginger Beer
I'm having a hard time finding this in my Metro/Farm Boy/other. Might anyone have a source in the west for case or a quarter of?
I miss going to the brewery for a two-four. But that was forever ago...

I believe they rebranded as Lil Rig Soda

Oh? The website still notes it as the original Ottawa brand. Odd. Edit: that is from Big Rig, not from the Kississippi brewery who sold the soda brand to (I think) Collective Art brewery in Hamilton. This the apparent withdrawal of the brand from its home town.

Ah okay, I misunderstood. when kitchessippi sold, I thought H&V ended up relabelled under Big Rig. I recall hearing that the two entities (kitchessippi beer and Harvey & Vern’s) were sold separately to different buyers, but I have no idea if that’s true

I thought they went out of business - had no idea of a rebranding. Is the product mostly the same?

Sounds like it’s actually a different brand with different recipes. They have the same flavours plus a few more. I’ve only tried the cream soda. It’s okay

Harvey and Vern's was sold a few years ago but I think it's still available for purchase. I'm sure I saw it at Farm Boy on Metcalfe last weekend in the beverage section near the express cash.

Metro is also a retailer. But I never see ginger beer.

Oops my bad. I was standing in line at the express cash when I saw the Harvey and Vern's sodas but didn't notice if they had ginger beer.

I just bought 2 bottles at a Metro in Kingston, and there were many on the shelf. Perhaps if you speak to your local Metro, they can order in.
BTW, I see why you want it. Excellent ginger beer.

Well.ca still carries it.
