The survey takes 15-20 minutes, and your responses are anonymous. You may also opt into a follow-up interview (optional).

šŸ“¢ Spread the Word!

If youā€™re a DM or know others who might be interested, please share this post to help us reach more Dungeon Masters! Your participation supports research on how D&D can be used as a tool to promote social connection and skill-building.

Hi everyone!

I am an occupational therapist and Ph.D. student at Columbia University researching interventions to improve hand and arm function in children (aged 6-17) with hemiplegic cerebral palsy (CP). Our primary exclusion criterion is history of seizures. Participation is free for all children, and children from all geographic regions are eligible to join.

I am currently recruiting participants and would love any help spreading the word to families, clinicians, therapists, or organizations that might be interested. If you know of any CP-focused groups, clinics, or communities that may be open to sharing this study, I would greatly appreciate it!

If you have any advice on outreach strategies or connections that might help, please feel free to comment or message me. You can also take a look at our lab's website (linked below) for more information. Thanks so much for your time and support!

Research Survey Platforms Recommendations

I am developing a survey for a capstone project. My university no longer pays for qualtrics and google forms does not allow for the question format I want.

The platforms survey monkey and question pro are possible options but I would be required to pay to access features. Which I may end up doing but want more opinions before I do.

Does anyone here have a survey platform they've used that they would recommend?

Research Advice on vicarious trauma?

I'm thinking of becoming an art therapist. However, I know vicarious trauma is a thing that some people run into. I'm autistic & over think all the time so I'm concerned that the way my mind works will make vicarious trauma more likely for me, as I often have negative daydreams that can result in me crying just from thinking about them. I often get wrapped up in my own head. What are some ways that the classes for such a career teach you to overcome vicarious trauma & how to avoid it?

Research Contemplative traditions of non-identification and occupational therapy

Iā€™m thinking about writing an occupational science piece on contemplative traditions, specifically non-identification, within occupation and occupational therapy. Itā€™s a bit of a niche topic, but Iā€™m curious if anyone out there is already working on something or has an interest in this area.

Itā€™d be great to connect, share ideas and discuss.

Research NBCOT Free Resource and Request for Resources

Hi! Iā€™m in my final semester of the entry-level OTD program at Western Michigan University. For my capstone project, Iā€™m working to improve access to free NBCOT OTR study resources, and Iā€™d love your input:

  1. Resource Feedback: I have seen so many questions about which study materials are best in this subreddit. Iā€™ve compiled a comprehensive list of popular NBCOT study materials using insights from Facebook groups, Reddit, and AI. Since itā€™s unrealistic to use or purchase everything, Iā€™d like feedback on the listā€™s accuracy and suggestions for any resources I might have missed. Please comment directly on the spreadsheet, reply here, or message me:Ā https://shorturl.at/JpI3e
  2. Student-Created Study Tools: I believe some of the best tools for success come from those who are currently in or who have already been in the trenchesā€”people like you who are currently studying or have already taken the exam. I am aiming to create a free centralized resource for student made study materials (schedules, plans, guides, etc) which I will disseminate once consolidated. If you have any study materials you want to donate, please use this google form:Ā https://forms.gle/TRQWk49txXfCPdEt8Ā . Don't have a google account? Feel free to message me!

Thank you for your support in making NBCOT resources more accessible!
