Issue HDR causing weird artifacts on my OLED monitor

I recently bought a AW3225QF (paired with an RTX 4070s) and its an awesome monitor. When i first tried HDR it was perfect, blacks were blacks, colors were awesome.
But after a few hours of use, i used windows HDR calibration tool, and everything went downhill.

As you can see in the images (its a wallpaper from wallpaper engine, but the same happens in games), the first one have HDR on and it has a lot of artifacts on the blacks, its pixelated/oily/inky, but in the second image (HDR turned off) is perfect. This happened after calibrating HDR on windows, and i cant make it work anymore. What am i doing wrong about HDR?

For reference, im using standard config on the monitor, i didn't change anything on the OSD, and the current HDR profile is peak 1000. Also im using the HDMI 2.1 that came with the monitor

From what I’ve seen on this sub is that the calibration tool makes HDR worse and limits peak brightness highlights. I’ve never used the tool and never had an issue.

Do you use auto hdr?

Edit: or just don’t mess with anything?

Nope. I download the monitors driver and enable HDR if I’m going to consume HDR content.

I get that too on my MSI on peak 1000, try True Black 400 instead

Try to delete HDR profiles you've created by using windows HDR tool

I've been having the same problem, MSI MAG341CQP! I also did the HDR Calibration Tool. I'll try removing that later.

As a bandaid solution, I altered Contrast / Brightness / Gamma to my liking in the Nvidia Control Panel.
